I think its retarded.
Not everyone has great Internet, especially not us.
These guys seriously don't think to far...they keep digging deeper into the stupid hole for ideas.
I agree piracy is a bitch and it should be taken care of, but forcing the people that support you into playing a single player game online..that's just tardy.
Always on internet is not the solution for everyone. A vast amount of countries have very poor internet access and will not be able to access this feature. This stops piracy. They lost legitimate customers. Previously legitimate customers then resort to buying pirated version of the game. Infinite Loop.
You are right (should have read it before I posted). But yeah, that is what I was getting at with the rest of the comment. The more people that they alienate with always on internet, the more people will be forced (loosely used) to get a pirated copy of the same game. Which does not really help their argument that it is a good thing.Correction ... it doesn't stop piracy. If anything ... it probably makes it worse.
I'm all for always-on gaming. It's progress. Stop bitching, accept it and move on.![]()

"Better for everyone"
Afrihost and Cell C really started this whole affordable bandwidth in SA drive...it's awesome for everybody! The problem with game developers assuming that everybody has an always online connection is their battle with piracy - I am not always online, and it shouldn't be required that I be online in order to play my games...
Give me a shout when your internet goes down for a week and you can't play your latest game.
