Unreal Tournament III Online

Now I can't even connect anymore. WTF.

been googling my arse off. Each time I try and connect to the Igame or SGS server, it just comes up with Connection error. Same with lots of international servers, but then 2 minutes later I try again and it goes through, But only on the international servers.

Googling revealed that I got a "bug" that most ppl got when the game was first launched.

Obviously my game itself isn't broken, and its patched up to where needs be as I was able to connect to the servers a mere few days ago.

I just tried for 10 minutes to connect to INTL servers, and it connectected to each one every time. Try the servers in S.A, get connection error each and everytime.

UT2004 connects to the SGS server without hassles, but UT3, struggling on igame and SGS. hmmmm......

Delete your config folder in your "My Games/ Unreal Tournament 3"
Run the game (Keep Cd Key handy). This is almost the same as a completer reinstall. Could of been Gamespy that was giving problems.
 
Tried that now aswell. Even tried now to uninstall the game, Remove ALL REGISTRY ENTRIES that I could find, and a general cleanup of the Mygames/UT3 folder etc. Clean installed, patched up. Created my account, validated my CDkey, PLaying on UT3 INTL servers 100% albeit with super high ping, connect to Igame or SGS it loads the map then just bombs out with connection error.

I have various accounts from different providers, as I work for a private ISP and have access to just about every providers' servers for accounts. I also do Firewalls and Routers for a living as my job, so It's defnitely something there. Neccesary port communications are open,and I just got a new router yesterday, same issue.


Picks up all the games in the master browser, as soon as I click on an SA server, just bombs out with connection error, where all the others with super ping internationally just welcome me in.

Played against a dude called Raiden tonite and got pwned real bad. Would be nice if it was possible to get all the abnormally good UT Players in one place and get them to duke it out, could learn a thing or two from it. Don't think there's any other game out there where the "skill difference" shows more than in Unreal Tournament 3. Should be very entertaining to watch.
 
we had a UT3 tag team comp at oC this past weekend, Aldyr and ZeV01f of our clan won it, we made it to the quarters to face them, was alotta fun.

lol ... it wasnt tag team ... it was 2v2 ... the comp went down pretty well hey ... 26 teams entered, it was a brilliant turn-out for the comp ... the ut3 community is definitely building up at OC
 
Hey hideinlight, lekker games last night :D

Raiden is really good, though he has waaaaaay too many numbers in his name.. :D That's more corky-tarded than normal. :p

I'm gonna try and play more UT3 from now on. A quick question, would the UT3 community here want UTComp3 installed on iGame's server?
 
spoke to xero bout that yesterday, and he says it doesnt work well for public play, thats probably why SGS is so deserted now that iGame server is up :/ wot happens with UT comp is enabled? does warfare get disabled? cause so far i have seen that UT comp removes vehicles? i think we need another UT server, but i doubt it will happen cause the current server doesnt stay full enuff. Hopefully it will grow.
 
he is probably right, i see iGame UT3 server as iGame Alpha COD server, and the promod server should have a equivalent UT3 Comp server/s, but the support for UT3 is small so thats probably why we dont have UT3 comp server, but ima have a look at SGS server tonight, no offence iGame ;P but if UT comp removes super weapons, super powerups and vehicles then we dont have VCTF nor WAR anymore, or mayb this whole thing is confusing :/

Ai ai ai!!

UTComp does for UT3 what Promod does for Cod4. Allows for balanced maps and rules for competitions to be run. It was a standard on the old UT2004 servers from SGS, cos that's how comps are run world wide. It is still the standard for UT3, world wide. They get around it, by having warfare/alternative gametype server.
 
Aaaaaaaait :) naah all i know is normally when the server gets full ppl start voting for warfare,ctf,greed etc. thats why when ppl like volf :D had to mention my bra's name :D join etc they dont wanna play that, says its gay or worse case scenario call midmap votes :/
