I've been hounding them non stop to release the info
Their reasoning behind this is:
They do not want to have RSP's announcing that they will be hosting servers like what happened to BC2 with certain ISP's breaking confidentiality clauses and stating that they would host LONG before anything was finalized
My reasoning is this:
If we as RSP's are allowed to announce to our communities the details of future hosting plans etc it benefits the community as well as the publisher
It benefits the community by allowing them to plan their gaming spend in advance (Ie Picking up a copy of this or that game etc)
It boosts pre orders as players are ensured that they will have the capability of playing online and it assures the community that there are gaming portals such as iGame that really do try to provide them with a secure and dependaple service that they can rely on
It benfits the publishers by having pre orders for a territory increase due to those players having the assurance that they will have servers to use and it decreases insecurity amongst players in regards to being unsure as to what is happening and when
Unfortunately, there is red tape and lots of it, to go through, but as stated above we will make an official announcement the second that we are no longer prohibited from doing so
Thats awesome
personally my prediction is that its going to be announced this week possibly, im guessing the closed beta could end up this weekend infact, very possible, quite excited non the less, thanks again Xero![]()
DICE said:“Sometime between now and the end of September†according to one of the DICE staff members involved in the interview.
PC Gamer said:Battlefield 3 beta coming “soon,†to feature “hundreds†of changes from alpha
What really sucks for me is that I won't even be able to play the beta even if i get hold of it :/ coz I just havent got time to study my ass off for my final exams AND play games...meh![]()

I was not talking about releasing the Beta, I was talking about allowing RSP's to speak openly to the community
