Heard from birdy that BF3 will be at Rage Expo. Well, actually I mailed a well placed source... Hopefully it will be BF3's PC version.

COME ON EA, RELEASE THE BETA!!!

Lol I have a strong feeling there will be a beta at rAge. Will be very close to release and would provide the ultimate marketting oppurtunity for EA SA. We'lll have to wait and see which version. But either way I just wanna have a good look at the gameplay so the platform is the least of my worries. But being able to see a PC version running at max specs (and hopefully not frying the systems like at E3) would be very nice and would make a trip to rAge even more worthwhile
 
The beta is going to be awesome and I know WAGE will be handing out some beta keys with a competition to win some Special edition BF3 copies :D
Also if they are allowed to I am sure they will be hosting the client locally and it will be on FreeZone :P
 
That sounds aWEsoMe Tanka. WAGE's servers has a nice latency, but generally I play on Hype or Hillbrow's 1000 ticket servers.
I hope we get a few 1000 ticket servers soon in BF3, Imagine that huge Caspian border map after a 1000 ticket round!
 
Yep, saw that as well this morning. Another week or two's wait...

Hopefully it is being distributed to other partners who host their gaming servers so that we can have quick downloads.

Let's agree to share links to the Beta download, especially SA download locations.

I have a feeling that we might have to Download the beta through Origin :/ *holds thumps for local FTP release*
 
I hope that games.saix.net or mygaming.co.za will host the download. I'm expecting 1.2Gb.

Can anyone say 24 hour Uncapped 3G bundle...?
 
We will release more info regarding the Beta Client As soon as we have it, but rest assured iGame will be hosting the client if it is not bound to Origin
Last time with the release of BC2 we had so many Download requests from our FTP we had to start qeuing downloads for guys, luckily the igame FTP uses Local only bandwidth so the guys could all get it despite its large size

Im hoping it's not bound to origin, although it cant be if e-tailer's are going to be selling it via a DDL service.
 
I'll spitball...

Mmm, I bet it will be around 1.2Gb, we'll get 1 map. I base this on the game that will be on 2 DVDs, probably Dual Layered. Add around 800Mb per map included there after.
 
Definitely Paris Metro, was in the alpha and perhaps Caspian border as they would need a jets/choppers/Tanks/Vehicles map to test that all out.
Wonder what the other 7 maps are going to be? I just want 64 player Conquest... :-/

I would guess the beta size is about 2GB or less seeing that BC2 beta was 1.42Gb's
