Battlefield 3 Beta

Well +-2gigs sounds reasonable
Im pretty sure some BF2 maps are making a comeback (Strike At Karkand is one i know of) but they probably wont be in the beta.
Just thinking of those maps makes me feel so nostalgic :)
 
Well, the 4 BF2 Maps that will make it back is confirmed. They will land about a month after the release date.

I'm hoping for Highway Tampa to make a reapperance too later on.

I am also wrecking my brain about possible BFBC2 maps making a comeback in a year or so... Africa Harbour (Conquest over the whole Rush map!!!). Wow, I can see 5 control points there too and a lot of running.

When it's here, it's here. I more excited about the 28th of October. Beta will be cool and all that, but is usually only lasts about a week or two with major issues and could taint your view of the game. Although in the case of MoH the actual game was possibly worse than the beta...

Jip i dont know how they managed that but boy MoH was the 1st time a actually considered driving back to BT Games and to tell them to take back the game.

I tried selling my MoH for R20 two weeks after it launched and i had 0 responses.

Im pretty amped for BF3 and im a cod fanboy more than anything else.

Tried MoH myself, 10 weapons and map design was horrible, sorry to say it sucked.

...well in the per-order DLC you'll be getting Strike at Karkand, Gulf of Oman, Sharqi Peninsula and Wake Island would also like to see BFBC2 maps make a comeback :)
 
I bought MoH for R50 during the Exclusive Books Firesale. I have to say I enjoyed the single player but it was way too short.

Overpowered snipers ruined the MP. I have BF3 doesn't have 1 shot to the body kills with sniper rifles, that would ruin everything.

The picture of Strike shown here: http://bf3blog.com/battlefield-3-maps/ reminds me more of Mashtuur City, but yeah I haven't played BF2 in a while.

Don't worry dude. Go check some of the Alpha footage on youtube and you'll see it's only on shot to the head. Further down it's two or three shots. And yes, MOH sucked a bit because of the OP snipers :(.

Any news where the Beta could be downloaded locally? I hope that we get the download a few days ahead of the Beta. My 384K ADSL still have to download it.
 
I cancelled my MoH pre-order two days before it came out. The MoH beta was enough for me to see it would not be a game I wanted to play. Back to BC2 I went... and soon... BF3... woo hoo... we are almost there guys!
 
Well, I done my unlocks for the "Assualt" and SpecOps modes, but MoH's Multiplayer was just not up to my liking.
 
WAGE will be putting the BF3 beta client on our FTP servers when it is available (and if allowed to) and I can guarantee the Web Africa data centre will be able to handle all the downloads :)
Also those of you that are using Web Africa as your ISP the download will come straight off your FreeZone :D

Awesome... only a week to go hopefully...

Now if only TSMC will get their 28nm node sorted so ATi can release their 7000 series cards... I want one for BF3
 
You check they Having 24 Pc at the EA and dogaming stand at RAGE with BF3 running on it. for people to try, sad i won't be there now.
