If you think the earth is flat, you're head is flat.

If you think the earth is flat, you're head is flat.
it's actually a lot rounder, and smaller

or what about this one

Seems the people on this forum's heads are hollow like the earth :p

also this one to illustrate those skewed buildings I was talking about

The horizon IS really just an illusion, accept it.

Photo's that alter perception (as fish eye lenses do) does not mean the horizon is an illusion. Independent measurements does reveal the curvature, as does seeing a ship disappear in the distance.

You're brain is an illusion, stop trolling and go back to MYBB, we don't play well with trolls here.

Seriously guys , where do you come up with this round or flat argument , anyone can clearly see it is more of a hollow Cylinder
How else can you explain the full of crap argument this is.

Arrr...there be monsters after that there line! So if I travel West - I'd go straight past the Americas - and instead of hitting China eventually - I'd rather fall off the end somewhere? OR - no - you know what - I can't even make jokes about this daft way of thinking. Seriously?!?

The point everyone is missing here is that a photo can't provide any proof as they could alter perception. The horizon is an illusion because you essentially see in a circle around you. What you perceive as being boyond the horizon is merely what's beyond your field of vision. I'll keep quiet on the ship thing lest it gets seen as trolling again but even if the world was flat you'll still not be able to see everest. ;)

Everybody is taking this too seriously. Everyone will have an opinion with perfectly valid reasons for it.

It's a gaming forum, head back to MYBB then if you want a different experience!
Can't, banned without a reason. :p

That's it. I'm out.

There is some fiendishly clever physics/mathermatics that shows that a sphere [or close approximation thereof] is the optimal shape for stable bodies. From the little I understund, it has something to do with gravity.

A time-lapse taken from the front of the International Space Station as it orbits our planet at night.
