“Game transfer phenomena” explains why you avoid red trashcans on the pavement

Well one good thing gaming has done for me, my reflexes have improved a lot. Falling glass? Super fast catch more like. I can also understand the 'reloading' thing, not worrying too much if things turn out bad. But seeing icons above people's heads, that's just plain weird and those people play too many games.

I wonder if you could go back a couple years to a save point, would all memories from that point till now remain?

Ideally, otherwise you'd just repeat the same pattern of events, effectively making the concept of a save-point useless :p

Checkpoint reached, please do not turn off brain wile saving.

Right, now were are them zombies at?

So true, once almost served while trying press E and 4 to get my Eryx out so shoot a car with the Licence plate "DPV". Ahh good old BF2. loools

I play games a lot, but I've never experienced anything like this. They need to broaden the study to effectively test it.

Who knows, maybe we are doing that already lol :)

Also true!

We could be reliving the same week infinitely and never realise it :p

Sort of akin to the whole, "God created existence last week Tuesday" train of thought. If you believe in anything then anything is possible :D

I must say I have also never experienced anything even remotely close to what is described. I really think they should stop using disturbed people for these studies.

When I meet new people I tend to look above thier names to find out who they are, only to find out they have split ends. And when I play with my food, I play Red Alert.

So they randomly selected 42 subjects and all of them have their regular activity modified by the way they play games. Sorry that just seems bogus. Seeing icons above peoples heads...really? Are they sure these people weren't just completely messing with them and talking crap about icons, save points and involuntary imaginary mouse clicking. To me if you had any of those symptoms you are in need of professional psychiatric attention.

They have it all wrong.
Its actually called the bleeding effect...

Fuck yeah :D!!!

I wouldn't say I have experienced anything like these guys, but I will say that I have used a strategy or two I have learned from Call of Duty or Battlefield when I go paintballing :D!

My BC2 strat is to run around as medic and paddle everyone I can find, not sure that would work out so well IRL. :)

I don't know about these "scientific studies" but from my experience many a time have I forced myself not to reload to see the outcome of my choice. Just keep on trucking.
