I was going to get Shogun Total War, but with the Rand being as weak as it is atm it's just not worth it... :(

Ya I got a shock last night when I saw the exhange rate listings, was buying $5 games at R35 just a few days ago and now... oh well maybe it'll actually slow down the rate at which I'm buying games on special at the moment.

Ya, just got an email this morning that all autodesk software is going up 20% because of the exchange rate, effective immediately.

I bought the Sega Classics aswell as Company Of Heroes. Unfortunately the Rand is weak, so that's all for me, Shogun would have been nice. Probably pick it up on a special some time later.

Includes a free update to the "Witcher 2 New & Improved version 2 coming 29 September".
I hope those of us who already bought the upgrade will receive it as well.

If the first game's EE is anything to go by, you will. This is pretty tempting, since I don't have The Witcher yet..

Just googled it... Seems that it is also free for existing customers. Added the links to articles under the News forum which contains details of the update. Special also available from GOG.

I read Alpha Protocol has some nasty bugs, handling and AI issues. Is that fixed by now or still present ?

Alpha Protocol is on special (along with a bunch of other Sega titles, including the Total War series, Alien vs Predator and some other stuff) for $2 (give or take R16).

I was one of the few folks who actually really liked Alpha Protocol, so it gets a special mention from me

Edit: Also, if anyone really wants Alpha Protocol, is really interested in playing it and doesn't have the money (or means) to buy it on Steam, give me a shout (PM, please) and I'll be happy to grab it for you guys. Willing to grab a copy for three people.

Alpha Protocol score 6.3 in the IGN review. Poor visuals, buggy gameplay and crappy AI. Still for $2 surely it's ok? Anyone played it?

I liked the game as far as I can remember... It was kinda fun for me. It is like a mix between Mass Effect and Splinter Cell. (Not as good as ME though)
Not sure about the bugs. I got it just after I discovered the Bioware games a couple of years back when I started searching for similar games. If there were minor bugs, I probably played through them without noticing.

For $2, I'd buy it if I didn't have it already. Even if our taste in games differ, $2 is 'n cheap / affordable mistake to make.

You are right on all counts, but it did have a good solid story. The game has its charms, I did enjoy it, even with all its issues. I didn't really experience any bugs myself tbh. It's worth the $2 for damn sure.

Thanks, added to cart:D Oh the poor piece of plastic, Steam is so so bad.

It's times like these where I tell myself that I really need to get a credit card.. But on the other hand If I had one the purchases would be endless...:P
