One game that has stayed in your console the longest.

Just as the title suggests, whats the game that stayed in your console for the longest period of time? In other words, what was the longest period of time that you have played one single game on end.

I would say modern warfare 2 for me, it stayed in there for a solid three months without me playing anything else. I fear battlefield 3 or MW3 will suffer the same fate :)
 
dead or alive 4 (Duration 1 month back in 2006)

it was the only game that came free with my 360 when the console was launched here in SA, and i couldnt afford another game when i got the console (eventually got project gotham 3 a month later)

Must be Borderlands GOTY Edition.
Finished it multiple times, playing through all DLC in Split Screen CoOp with the Wife :)

I don't keep the disc in as I believe it's bad for the drive and disc....

Forza 3... 6 months
then another 3 months when i bought the collector with all the dlc... so 9 months total i guess
(havnt been on xbox for a loooong time tho, moved back to pc)

Which console do you have?

As for me. I'm not sure but I think it's Gears of War probably 3 months...
 
That would be a toss up between Fallout 3 and Mass Effect. Fallout: New Vegas and Mass Effect 2 I expect will have a similarly long stay.

I thought I was the only one who thought this way...

No matter what I always remove the Disc after a gaming session.

Longest game(s) played non-stop though was the Mass Effect Series. Started ME1 Playthrough - Finished ME2. Started 1 again. Went on for weeks.

But at the moment its Gears of War 3. I can't get enough of the Multiplayer its so damn addictive that I have yet to finish the Campaign!
 
God of War 2
Was in the PS3 for 3 months :)

Was stuck on the Medusa boss fight! And i didn't want to switch difficulty!
So it was try,die,try,die,try,die,rage,quit for weeks :)
 
Uncharted 2

I never keep my games in my console after a gaming session but I played that game for around 4 months straight after it's release! The SP was just excellent and the MP is just fantastic. Period.

Fallout 3 on my PS3 most likely.... and I still haven't stopped. But other than that, probably a Final Fantasy somewhere along the line... I'd have to say Final Fantasy X....
 
MK9, was in my console for about 2 or 3 months, then I stopped playing after I got everything, beat everyone, unlocked everything.

Only xbox 360, if I had the extra cash I would also get a PS3, some great exclusives released lately.

I hear what you guys are saying with removing your discs after you play, admittedly its probably what we all should be doing. Thats why I added the "In other words" part of the question.
