Battlefield 3 beta results in some gameplay changes

What about the blinding flashlights?

Those have got to be the most annoying thing in the game. Not because the enemy uses them to blind you - that's fair enough - but because I'm constantly getting blinded by idiot team mates who run around with the light perma-on and then I get shot because I can't see enemies appear, or their lights have given away your position.

New rule. TK all teammates that are blinding you with flashlights. That should sort them out real quick. :p

My brother won't be happy with the UMP-45 changes. :D

I don't mind it in the darkness but yeah in the bright of day light it still blinds you and its so stupid.

Something that I hope'd they would fix is the difficulty of determining whether or not flashlight is on or off when outside. Some outside areas it works okay, but others, when I'm in a shaded area, crouching, staring directly at the ground, I can't see the difference between an on and off flashlight.

You are one of those people that run around with it :p

actually i must admit imt he flashlight whore, i wont lie, tho i actually turn it off when im around teamies, i turn it on around corners also in CQC situation else youre a moving target :D

Wait, the flashlight still works outside in the daylight?

That is stupid. :/

Other than that, I think it's awesome. It's just one of things people have to learn to use. ie. not blinding your teammates.

didn't play the beta but this flashlight thing seems to be annoying a lot of people, was it that bad?
I also didn't play the beta but as I understand you can turn off the flashlight so it shouldn't really be a problem, hopefully after some time people will use it more effectively by turning it off and on.

I must admit - I didn't know you could turn the flashlight off. Must've missed that somewhere, at least I didn't use it that much anyway.
