The only real exercide I really do is swimming. But other than that nothing really. And yeah not one of the smaller guys![]()
i was a rugby player
now just a gym goer
gym twice a day and a good eating lifestyle, note i didnt use the word diet...![]()
I was a regular gym goer and lost about 10kgs during 6months or so. Then came the slouch, nothing helped. Until I decided to take a break from gym, now I take my one dog for a 3km walk 3 times a week and 3 times a week I just do pilates. In the two weeks Ive done that Ive lost another 3kgs. I suspect since I was at curves - my body became so used to the routine there that I wasnt really loosing weight - I had lost cm's but not weight in about 6months.
Also strict diets are the fastest way to put on weightI found its so much easier to make myself not feel guilty about a desert or chocolate since I was on the strict diet. Now tho I just eat healthier - loads of veggies with my dinner at night - less rice/potatoes (I cant say no to pasta or mash tho
). Lunches now a days consist of salads, or just half a cucumber. But when I feel like having a packet of crisps I will and the same goes for chocolate.
Takeaways havent been a big part of my life for a while now, and when I do bother I go for healthier options. Also found a chinese market that sells dim sum, which I buy by the bucket load and keep in the freezer - that is my downfall. But then again its pastas with pork and cabbage fillings. And the best is there are many ways to cook it - I tend to boil it or steam it and have a lovely "take away" dinner that is to die for.
My other thing is I have stopped eating bread as much and when I do I go for rye bread or rolls. And only 2 times a week.
The reason you lost cm's but not weight was because you were burning fat and building muscles. Muscles make you gain kg's but not cm's.
And of course, muscle is heavier than fat.

Achtung, the diets if stuck too show results but it needs to be in the realistic realm and its a mind shift on the human being ....
its need to by a lifestyle though
I used to play volleyball in my high school and varsity days but now I run in the early morning. Really got into the running scene and managed to finish Comrades last year, did it again this year but unfortunately I didn't make the 79km cut off.
I'm not the greatest sportsman but I don't think I could go without some form of exercise for too long.
I just find diets that tell you exactly what you must eat for each meal and exactly how much are unnatural and will set you up for failure.proven industry lie

I have been surfing since I was 13 every single flippin day(unless the beaches are closed) for at least an hour per session. When the waves are real good and I have the time I just never get out. During the week I surf before and after work. every day. Its my life.
If any of you are ever in East London and keen to go for a surf, let me know.seriously.
