Ok so I have shelved the idea of upgrading right now, decided I am going to wait for next years tech.

But what I do want is another 5850 to crossfire!

How did this work out for you in the end ? I know my e8500 is a bit of bottleneck now but if i can stretch a bit more life out of my old pc I'd be rather happy.

Its actually awesome Nimatek. I planned on upgrading my whole rig, but found a 5850 for a good price.

I had to buy a new PSU but nevertheless, the performance increase is massive.
 
The only thing bottlenecking my pc right now is my graphics card. I have a 4670. Hoping to upgrade to something better and also get a new PSu. So if anyone have any of these for sale or know where I can get some let me know.
 
MY GF has hinted that she is buying me a 570GTX for my Bday in 3 days .. that means ill sell my 2 x 5770 for about R1400? both about 18months old so holds 6 months warranty from supplier and the performance you get from them are just a bit more than the 6870 and 5870 about 200 points in 3d mark. I don't really want to sell as its a catch 22.

I can give both 2 members of my clan or sell them and help another member build a pc. So let me know if you are interested.
 
I am very much interested... only thing is my motherboard only supports one card. So I can only buy one. Could you tell me exactly what card it is? (make/model)
