i use the KB + mouse combo, works well for me, i been flying since the BC2 days but these choppers are by far way more manoeuvrable than their BC2 counterparts, i think tooks (skyRambo) summed it up well "jeez bru, the BC2 choppers feel like dinky toys compared to these BF3 choppers" and he is right, infact when were are in the air its usually our own fault when we go down, choppers are a big win for me

Are your mouse set on a high sensitivity or not ? I just wish there were private servers or empty servers we could join to practise the flying. On the Full Servers i end up getting missile locked in 1 minute flat then trying to avoid the missile i end up flying into a bloody mountain :D

my dpi is actually quite low, i dont actually like a very high sensitivity and if you think thats weird, tooks flys and plays inverted :o

as for the spawn raping yes its hec of a annoying, often when im about to take off im getting locked on by a jet, often i return the favour with my own side winders and often i take him out! Nothing beats taking out a jet with a chopper, better yet the little bird vs jet action is awesome!

i do find the jets to be VERY annoying, either they hit you with their Gatling gun or the fly right into you which i must say its the noobest thing ever :D words fail me. its nice when your teams jets actually keep the enemy jets busy

When a chopper/jet gets too confident and lingers in the spawn, the AA in the base makes quick work of them just yesterday i shot the same dude down twice in his jet cause he kept on spawn raping, oh and a chopper fell to my AA too :D

there always a way to deal with those buggers!

i'll try and give the mouse thing a go with the choppers.

i heard in the new patch they will be BUFFING the jets. apparently they are a bit underpowered at the moment.

i'll stick to my stingers for those annoying buggers

they had best buff the chopper then cause it will be a nightmare, you must see tooken chasing jets with the heli

i tell him over TS ok dude juts leave the jet alone now, tooks replies: "no dude im gonna take down this F$%^$%^er now"

Flyboys can have theirs .... as long as I'm in a tank I have a huge grin on my face. I keep getting told what a crazyfark I am when in one :D

so it's not enough that the good pilots who have unlocked almost every jet perk is almost invulnerable to stingers since they can extinguish or just go below radar or flare.

well then I hope they buff the AA as well because otherwise gonna really start getting annoying.
 
Been playing since Friday and loving it! This game is awesome.

As for the lag, I steer clear of the 64 player maps because the lag and rubber banding is just stupid.

32 player maps are great!

The complaint was mainly about the difficulty of starting off playing with jets, people have asked for Flares to be available from the start when you start unlocking your jet buffs. I sort of agree with it, cause it took me a whole Sunday afternoon just to get my flares. was difficult as hell cause i get spawn raped and missile locked within 2 minutes from take off, totally buggered up my stats :(

having no defense when jumping into a jet is a bit stupid really.

yep, although what i do for my clan mates in the heli is let them gun for me thus giving them quick points...the jets probably should have flares from the get go

Yep agreed, easy to get the unlocks for a chopper, if you jump in with someone who knows how to fly it yes :)
