A suggestion for BF3

I was thinking, and I'd say it would be a great idea if DICE removed the K/D ratio from the scoreboard and only showed your SCORE in the end of the round. Then you can check your K/D in the stats screen after the match.

This would promote playing the objective and less camping/sniping.

They should have done this from the start I rate. I really hope they would consider it, but it probably won't happen unless we protest it? :D

Does anyone else agree? This isn't COD. It's not about K/D.
 
While I agree with you wholeheartedly, (I would love to see squads well working as squads) removing the K/D ratio will piss more people off than promote anything. People love their stats and want access to information including me.

And besides the game does try to make points more important than k/d ratio i mean 100 points just to revive and arm and 500 to destroy and mcom and not to mention the mpv and ace squad ribbons.

As I said, you must still be able to view your stats after the round in the "stats" tab. It might piss off the cod players that's getting into BF, but they must learn how to play BF and play as a squad and a team.

Besides, there's battlelog. Which is quite epic in terms of checking your stats.

Yeah I know dude :(

But it would have been awesome. If I was a BF3 developer I would have done that instead of seeing my game go down in the records of K/D shooters :(
 
I actually had some dumb fuckhead laugh at my k/d the other day ..... he was like "Oh I have 43-8 and you only have 12-19" ..... so I pointed out the fact that I had only 700 odd less score than he had and he shut up ;)

That's the thing, if you play for objectives and play your class you can end up with a way better score than the guy with the insane k/d ratio.
 
This one night I saw a squad 3 engineers with mortars and 1 recon with a mav. Playing on metro they used the mav to spot the enemies and the mortars to take them out. It was pure chaos! Sadly I was in the receiving end but I had to tip my hat to them that's how the game is meant to be played.

One squad won the match just through teamwork the essence of BF 3

The other night we we're playing Bizarre rush and I decided my squad need some serious help with confusion/suppression tactics and I started mortaring the guys in their moer. Must have gotten about 30 kills. It was working brilliantly as they were "gooi-ing" those MCOMS. The only downside of that was that people started calling me some reaaaaaaaalllly pretty names. They got promptly banned, but I couldn't help but think those okes just don't get the fact that here you don't simply just watch out for a guy with a gun. :D
 
I totally agree.
This is 1 thing that they changed for COD MW3. The objective now is to score points by getting headshots, pulling off awesome kills, collecting dog tags, reviving mates ect ect. K/D ratio doesn't play a part in COD MW3. So don't be surprised when you get to the end of the round having owned with K/D ratio and then not winning.
 
Menu access immediately after you've been killed, not still have to watch the guy who just killed you, for 5 minutes before respawning.
