A reported 1.5 million people queued at midnight globally to get their hands on Modern Warfare 3, with a total of 9.3 million copies sold on the first day.

Look, there is no denying those are impressive numbers for any first day sale of any product, but to be honest "1.5 million people who did not have anything better to do" seems more appropriate.

I also went for the midnight launch of BF3, but it was because I would not have been able to go pick it up during the day.
