Xbox Live On Local Cap

I was just wondering if Xbox Live would work on local cap?. I just capped my internet and I now have over 50GB local waiting to be used.

Thanks in advance!

I think the servers are located in the UK for LiveZA so probably won't work. Would be pretty cool though if you could use local cap for it.

I wonder if there are any tricks to be done with proxy servers or something. It's an interesting question

I really wish local ISP's would incorporate this as it would save soooo much bandwidth and not let the local cap go to waste

Web Africa has that lekker Freezone for PC gaming, where if you play on their WAGE servers, they don't count the traffic against your cap, and I think they don't count Steam traffic against your cap either.

I've been thinking for a long time that it would be worth their while to get something going for xbl as well. I have heard from people in the industry that MS SA is trying to push Live in SA, and the biggest problem as far as I can tell is the cost of bandwidth in SA.

It would be a win-win partnership for both of them in my opinion. MS would get more people on Live, and Web Africa would get more subscribers.

I'm not sure what would be required technically though.

Dont know why they just dont give you all the CAP instead of splitting it into local and international. Internet is internet and it doesnt discriminate

Well if we all support MWEB's petition to get local servers for console gaming then we'll have some serious leverage on MS to get local XBL servers too.

I've also heard rumors that MS are planning to have some of their Azure cloud server setup in SA, so stuff may be in the pipeline already.
