SOFLAM is you winner, i dont just mean the recon SOFLAM either, i mean laser paiting, the 3rd seat for instance in the tank allows the commander to lase targets, i then used the tanks guided shell to lockon to Helis (yes it works) fire the guided shell, heli flares and guess what, shell hit, heli is dead, you see in order to defeat laser painting one must have the ECM jammer which only lasts for 5 sec, i have shot down many a heli with the Javelin and guided shell, it works, VERY well, if a team keeps laser painting a heli, honestly, i WOULDNT want to be in the air, Laser painting is so underused, allowing the helicopters free reign, keep this in mind, its not easy to fly a chopper, its not a walk in the park, the nerf on the stingers IMO doesn't make sense, does make it easier but at the end of the day, you not invincible and its not impossible to take out the heli as Den is making it out to be :)

Den, come dude, fly with me, you know you love it...i dare any1 here to say chopper flying is easy...cause im keen to hear why you think so...baring in mind, you've actually flown the dam thing too! :D

Where do you shop mate? I buy from suppliers and the cheapest you can get a Asus gtx580 DCII is around R5000. I know I bought one lol

Look i myself will irritate people and rpg people and so on but never in my life have i seen someone from a well respected clan sitting in Grand Bazaar on B and raping people spawning in a room at B. This was so poor and when i bother to complain about it people from another "well respected" clan tells me there is nothing wrong with that and i must stop whining.

I ended up on something like 77-30 with a score of 12k but i was so put off by the antics of those couple of guys i seriously didnt want to play anymore.

Name and shame I say. But as far as raping on a cappable flag, well, it's kind of a touchy subject for some. Personally I think it's low, but not illegal or against the rules. It's not like B is the only spawn point available to the spawner. If it was an uncappable spawn point, yeah, that's fucked up. But any flag, M-con, squad memeber or beacon is an optional spawn point and you are not forced to spawn there. If you do and some ass is waiting for you and gets you every time and that is his sole intention, yes, it probably makes him a doos, but then spawn elsewhere. Yo do not HAVE to spawn there.

In general though people tend to confude spawn raping and base raping. Imho, base raping is nailing okes in an uncappable spawn area that have just spawned and not even moved 3cm. Spawn raping is nailing spawners on above mentioned cappable spawn points. Having said that, if anyone shoots at me from a non-cappable spawn point, you will get shot at back. Don't then come cry foul, cause you shot at me first. Take it like a man.

Was planning on doing sli with that Evga Superclocked but decided against it. I've already got 2x 6970's in crossfire for bf3. The 580's might give more fps but won't be noticeable, at least not to the naked eye.

How do the Asus and the EVGA match up?

Well the Asus is a bit better for cooling, but the Evga is slightly faster.
Roughly 5 fps avg faster. Also varies from game to game. They are pretty close to each other.

Asus:

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580
782 MHz
4008 MHz

Evga:

NVIDIA GTX 580
797 MHz GPU
4050 MHz

Obviously when you start overclocking they will pull away, especially if you can get the evga under watercooling. Then it'll eat the asus.

I spawned 3 times on that point with something like 4-5min intervals between those 3 spawns and they shot me on all 3 times. Now look im all for taking advantage and all that but they clearly made 0 effort to do anything else than shooting people who spawn in that exact location. Thats where my beef was. 1st time they did that i moved on to a different place. So after 5mins when i spawned on B again and got shot instantly again i was like man wtf? Then the 3rd time i was really pissed off that they still was doing that.

Like I said, it's fucked up, but at the end of the day it means one less player on their side contributing to their win.

No its oky buddy ive allready vented and im over it. Atleast there is a Dr. Phil here everyday to help me through my "difficult" times.

Well I hope it's not me :D

I have killed people there before, but only while we're securing B. Then I skip off to the next capture point. No need to stand there and wait for people to spawn, that's just lame.

im curios to know which clan, in my mind i can only reall guess two clans KNOWN for juts underhanded tactics and a poor attitide....

is it who i think it is?

Most prob. Those okes where terrible in bc 2. As soon as I saw them on the server I left.
 
I've tried flying (jets and choppers) and I have come to a conclusion...

I should stop.

I bought a Logitech flight stick last month, but it's useless to me since I have no way of practising and I can't really find a server to practice on...
