Ok time to Rant
Homefront - Just finished it and it was terrible
Seriously, I cannot believe that a studio would take the time to establish a global situation like the downfall of the US and occupation by Korea and then waste it on this storyline
So througout the whole game you catch glimpses of what could have been, had the AI not failed at even semi realistic decision making, enemies are like turrets, they shoot ropes of lead your way but never deviate from where they are standing, even to the extent that SEEING a nade drop next to them only causes them to duck behind the same piece of cover they've been hogging for the whole firefight
Waypoints are broken, forcing you to stand in a specific spot to complete the unnecessary "Form Up" or "Regroup" waypoint objectives, not letting you climb a ladder before your AI squad has done so already etc
On top of that, the helicopter controls blow, not only does it blow, it is oversimplified to the point where I could literally DRIVE the Little Bird along the road on its skids if I wanted to, only thing that causes Direct damage is enemy fire or rockets
THEN, to make matters worse, the tide of the war changes when three petrol tankers are stolen by the resistance, no really?
After these 3 tankers are stolen the US military machine discovers that it had bullets all along and all that they really required was petrol to MOVE the bullets to the enemy
A Fast count of everything that moves after this event, 4 Battleships, 20+ Helicopters, 4 F22 Raptors, 1 UCAV, 2 Bradleys and an Abrahams Tank
Good thing they all use Unleaded then right ?
Seriously somewhere there is one guy looking at the driver revving his Bradley and asking him
"Do you want us to lose this war?"
"Gear it up to 6th gear, that's the Economy Gear"
BTW< for anyone not having played the game, Connor dies in the end, there, saved you all of the trouble of having to play it, you know how he dies, from his AI being overly stupid, that's how
Running at Tanks with a flare to mark the enemy convoy for an airstrike, when all througout the game he's been throwing like a rockstar with that same arm, never ocurred to him to THROW the flare?
Now Excuse me while I go stand in the corner and think about the money I spent on buying this game

Agreed. I hated Resistance 1 and 2 was just decent, but R3 is brilliant. Definitely the best SP FPS I have played this year, maybe even this generation.
