Skyrim Thread

There is a trainer for speech in markarth, that could help as well.

Btw. I solved my thiefs guild issue. Instructions are here:http://www.gamespot.com/the-elder-s.../platform/pc?topic_id=m-1-61137288&pid=615805. Only going to help if you have access to the console commands, hopefully there's not many more of these bugs and they get the patch out asap.

O that will help alot. Thanks

I had something like that happen to me.. Except it was my bookcase.. And ALL my books on the one level just vanished in front of my eyes...:(

If so many items diseaper they are normaly still there I have had this happend to a few tables content diseapear on me but as soon as you put something back or take something they reapear.

Nope.. Opened it to see if it was like that and it said that it was empty..:(

I think she felt that one...

Sigh I was hopeing for something diffrent.

Have gotten the lover stone since my sneaking hit 90 and that was about level 25 or something

EDIT: OMG my evil sword from whiterun just disapeared from my weapons rack :S

I suggest using the Thief stone if you're focusing on leveling Speech. Speech falls under Thief skills and the stone gives a 20% leveling bonus to Thief skills. Also, there is a minor quest in Whiterun for Ysolda where you have to get a mammoth tooth for her. She gives you a point in Speech for completing it and it's usually a quick quest. I also think one of the Khajiit in the trade caravans is a trainer, but I can't remember which one.

hehe no man, I'm referring to dagger stealth kills. Sometimes I get the slit-throat effect, other times nothing happens and I just hack at the guy from behind. Not very assassin'y.

trigger firing a bow is lol. Your arrow travels about 2.5m. You can turn your enemy into that dude from hellraiser by doing that without him even noticing. :p

I think the animations have a chance of happening, and doesn't happen all the time. The throat-slit animation seems to have ahigh chance of happening, but it's not 100%. And I think the target has to be standing or walking for it to happen. Haven't seen it on sitting or sleeping targets.

I used to be scared to death of Frost Trolls, due to their reputation on forums etc. Kept running away from them to avoid a swift death. Last night I killed 3 frost trolls, with 2-3 arrows each. I love my schneaky archer!

I had a situation last night were I ran into a troll and was like "oh crap", a reaction I learned early on because they were so tough. So I frantically started swinging and in two hits it fell to the ground...

Lesson here, my character is sooo overpowered right now lol.

I use to be the same now I actually hunt them.

I only started playing Skyrim since Saturday. Dual Wielding Heavy Armor Warrior Level 10 now. I still have a long way to go...

Anyway while randomly exploring I ran into a Giant camp just outside of Whiterun. I got up close and detected no hostilities from them. Then I got closer. It turned around. Lifted its club. I ran. But it caught up. Thinking I'm the sh!t I turned around to fight back. It gave me one hit flinging me off the map (yes so high up I got stuck in the air).

I wont be trying that again any time soon :D

I just love sneaking up on bandits and bashing their heads in. My khajiit is viscous. I love the animation. Makes him look crazy :p

I must admit sneaking gets a lot better when you get at a higher level. I had a couple of instances where bandits almost tripped over me without spotting me, and my skill is around 50, with little investment in perks for it.

The risk/reward of taking on a giant is heavily unbalanced. If I have to take one on I prefer to stealth one-shot him with my Legendary Blade of Woe.

pickpocketing is a brilliant way to level up quickly. find a sleeping target (like the guards in barracks at entrance to whiterun). then go into sneak mode, and then look at their inventory. the higher the value of hte item, the quicker you level up. remember to SAVE YOUR GAME before you try. may take a few reloads. the game also shows you your percentage chance of success

How the crap do you successfully pick pocket someone without them alerting the guards? Even if my display shows I'm hidden, I still get caught as soon as I loot an item. What's ironic though is that you can 'browse' people's pockets all you want. It's only a crime when you remove an item.

Also, what's quite lol is that I dumped a bunch of books and items in the middle of Whiterun's street when I was overloaded. That was 3 days ago, each time I log or return to the city, the stuff is still lying there. Who needs a house and containers? :p

i disagree dude. the reward of whittling down a giant is major boost to whatever skills you are using to do it. and the risk is failr minimal if you approach it right. i killed one giant by sniping from a distance, and then hiding. so i would go into sneak, hit him with bow and arrow for double damage, run away and hide, rinse repeat. after his health was about a quarter way gone, he came running at me. then something brilliantly amazing happened. i found that if i kept a tree between me and the giant, i could kill him at my leisure with combo of arrows and magic :-) i just kept strafing around the tree and he never once hit me :-) did the same thing with 2 other giants, so not a flook

I was level 5 at the time, no legendary items yet.

The second attempt I tried with sneak and bow. I got him down to the very last bit of health. Then guess what happened?

Another Giant snuck up on me :/ The irony lol
