Does it have to be automatic? Surely getting the dimensions and then cropping in Photoshop, GIMP, Picassa could work? Albeit a little labour intensive.

So what you're saying is that you want a free program that can do that?

Not sure about one that will do it all automatically, and put it on an ID card for you, but if you don't mind doing things a little manually, Gimp is a free alternative to Photoshop. Haven't tried it myself though

We have Gimp and Picassa, still trying to figure out how to use them effectively though.
Using Picassa to create flyers and really enjoying that, just trying to learn how to create multiple layers on the flyer though.
