no probs, let me know if you have any issues as it was super easy for me, i am not sure what other ways people are doing it :)

Ok, so I know the game was locked for SA but I heard it will get unlocked later on? Don't want to tunnel or whatever.

Game is not available for pre-order in SA.
Game is not yet planned for retail shelf release in SA.

Bottom-line: If you want the game in SA, you have to go alternate routes.

the tunnel is only for purchase, once that is done the launcher does not need to tunnel or proxy for connection to the servers as they will not block ip's

You can buy it from amazon.com. Amazon.co.uk aren't taking any more preo-orders currently not matter where you are from. UK apparently have used all their allocated preorders.

Just some info guys. We might not actually need to wait for the shipping in order to continue to play. From reading the forums , apparently you only need your product in order to continue playing post early access. Now the product code is already available from your origin account that is linked to your swtor site account.

So we should be able to continue playing even without the physical copy.

Early Access Starting Tuesday!

Early Game Access* for Star Warsâ„¢: The Old Republicâ„¢ is only a few days away! Starting December 13, 2011, The Old Republic will begin emailing invitations to start your Early Game Access. Invitations will be sent throughout the Early Game Access period offering rolling access to the game in the order in which you redeemed your Pre-Order Code, so be sure to check your email inbox!

To ensure that players can get into the game as quickly as possible when their Early Game Access begins, we are now allowing everyone who has redeemed a Pre-Order Code at our Code Redemption Center to pre-load the game to their computer.

In order to download the game client before Early Game Access begins, you need have already logged into your account and redeemed your Pre-Order Code. Once you have done this, you can download the game client by clicking on “My Account” in the upper-right of the window and then click “Pre-Order.” On your Pre-Order page, click the large button that says “Download Game Client” to begin download of the game!

Thanks for all the help on how to get the game!

I tried the tunnel bear, it would have worked but then i noticed the cost of the game through EA and had a panty fart so i ended up using g2play and placed the order with them.

I was watching some game play vids last night and man im amped for the game, roll on the 20th!!

Early game access

Hey all

Kinda bummed I never saw this thread before now. Been a member of the tor forums since early '09 and the time to ACTUALLY get in is basically upon us. Tried to get into the last BETA weekend only for my download to fail on the Friday, but I guess that doesn't matter because come tomorrow "holding thumbs as I did Pre-Order in July" I will be one of the lucky ones playing this amazing game. BTW the CE is *&^% expensive, putting me back over 1.8k with shipping and tax from amazon.com.
All us SA players should post Character names and servers on here once we start.

Good luck to you all.

Hope to chat with you all in game soon.

Geezy

As soon as the SWTOR forums open tomorrow, there will be a new SA player thread, we should all post there ;-)

ARGH! So many variables driving me nuts!

Will I be able to get a client from friends before the weekend?
Will I get my early access invite before I get my client?

*dribbles on straight jacket*

19 gigs will take me 18 days to download........

Anyone here live in PMB and has a client?
Anyone?

The code that is in Origin is your Pre-Order code, not your game code. Bioware and EA are still in discussions over the "grace period" so we might get a few days of play time before having to input the game code that comes with the physical Game.
Also have read rumours that amazon.com will email us our game codes which would also eliminate the problem of being stuck out of the game until our copies arrive.

On the other note of the SA players on the forums, I will definately be posting there as soon as I get in game.

Yeah CE is expensive but for me it was worth it. I doudt they will bringing out another bunch of CE's for the other smaller regions.

Will post on which server I and my guild will be playing as soon as we receive our deployment mail, the announcement was that should happen today. So probably some time this evening.

Unfortunately I don't live in Pietermaritzburg, I'm in PE, but as far as your other questions go, You will get early game access based on how early you pre-ordered, and yes you will be sent an email when you are eligible to log in whether you have the client downloaded or not. The client can also be copied over to another PC, I did it on Friday from my laptop which downloaded it to my Desktop.

If you have other questions I'll answer based on what I know and have heard. =)

Thanks for the info but those questions were the questions going around in my head that are driving me crazy, sadly, ones which no one can answer ;-P

Looks like SWTOR is going to be very alt friendly, SO happy about that, since I always play alts:
