Spamming his way to 20

Y'know ... that's practically guaranteed to get people eyeballing every post you make on this forum until that comp is finished.

Well done, mate :)

The nic is normally the give away. If it looks like its was jumbled together in a few min or if it looks like it has some thought put into it.

To be fair, it's not really any different to any other post in this thread. His other posts are quite legit :)

I did look :p

Keeping in line with the whole eyeballing statement, of course :D

I play fair ... I'm not going to even consider booting someone from the comps for one single spammy post. If it's a majority of their posts though, then I stop playing nice.

In the end, the final decision still rests with the mods and admins though - I usually ask for a second opinion before I go that far.

Or when it is/contains their real name. Usually accompanied by no avatar.

mine didn't have an avatar for quite a long time. I think I put an avatar up about 5 weeks ago so I don't think it happens that often

At the same time though, if you get rid of the post limit, you're going to have hundreds of people coming in, posting once, possibly winning and disappearing again. So you get the guys who have been around for a while, posting regularly and being part of the community losing out.

It's a flawed system, I agree, but at least we can spot the spammers and boot them out the comps if they're horribly obvious about it.

Yes, the post limit does create a catch 22 situation but it does encourage people to be more involved and the long-term goal should be to have ALL members posting regularly. I have been around for a while but didn't bother entering the comps as my post count was always and still is quite low even though I use the website for gaming reviews before I purchase games and to keep up to date with the latest news. Till my friend won a game and encouraged me to post regularly and enter the comps. Luckily I have won (big thanks yo MyGaming as it saved me a buck), but now I feel more at ease to post as I can't win a comp for the next two weeks.

Isnt Shadowfox a girl also

Hahahaha :D I thought you'd been around long enough to know by now :p

Ask shadowfox's stalker; Lycanthrope.

I couldn't resist! He's an otaku! I needed to know whether he was worth flirting with :p Not my fault he has easy-to-find pictures of himself at a con on Facebook >.>

Oh boy...

LOOK WHAT YOU DID!

Lycan ... you suck as a stalker - I didn't even notice :p

A competition is what brought me to this thread.. Can't remember what it was for but it was quite a biggy since I think I found it thru google...:) So yeah.. The comps attract people and then some stay.. Like me... But then u get those people that join every single comp on the Internet like some people do here..:/
