I'm absolutely crazy about "The Walking Dead" comics and I never liked comics.

Question though. I see you can buy the issues via the Android marketplace for around R88/5 comics.
Has anyone tried this?
Does it work well and is it legit?
The reason I ask is the website referred to in the app description seems a bit dodgy?
 
DC and Marvel should have their own Andriod apps. I have both apps for Iphone and they work great. you get quite a lot of free comics. Quite nice if you only want it to follow the story and not really about collecting comics.
 
@King_Dave_Za: If you're looking into Image comics I would recommend:

The already mentioned Walking Dead
Invincible (Same creator as Walking Dead, different take on hero with superman powers)
and Chew (original & funny book)


Missed my comic pickup last month so picked up a double batch this weekend - R1100!!! Really need to start dropping some DC52 books.
 
So I went to my Comic Dealer and they did have chew but only volume 3 and 4 so they will order volume 1 and 2 for me. They recon its super funny.
I also under recommendation picked up Wolverine Origin Deadpool something which I'm told if frikken funny. Deadpool tries to drop a piano on Wolverine, should be funny.

Yes, MF!! Aquaman is freakin awesome!! Ivan Reis's artwork is amazing and Geoff Johnns...need I say more. Try #1 but you will love it. My favourites at the moment are, Sweet Tooth, Batman, Detective, All Star Western (my new issue is in front of me) and The Boys. There are so much more...Uncanny X-Force, Jason Aaron's Wolverine, I Vampire was a big surprise, Animal Man (Jeff Lemire is starting to become one of my favourite writers)...jeez, the list grows like Plastic Man's dick!

I've heard about it but haven't been there yet. Was going to order a Spidey Hoodie from them but decided not to. It's a little far seen as I live on the Oos Rand. I'll try drop in there sometime in the holidays.
 
Anyone read Crossed yet? It knocks the balls of Walking Dead (and I am a huge Walking Dead fan). I read the 2nd trade and it was bloody disturbing...in a good way. Garth Ennis writes the 1st 8 issues. Ons of the best and shocking comics I have read in years.

Just finished All Star Western #3 and WOW...fanfuckingtastic!!! Really brilliant! I love Jimmy Palmiotti. Reading Swamp Thing # 4. So far, very bloody...just the way I like it.
 
Simon has started collecting Astrex comic books. I try and buy them for him.He is fussy over what ones he wants next. Of course I am not aloud to touch them.lol
 
The good thing about Asterix books are that there'd not be another one as the one guys dead and the other is ancient.

Doesnt really mean they wont make another one. I most guys that started DC are dead or ancient, they still going.
But i know what you mean. Some things are best left the way they are.

Yup. I don't think Bob Kane would have had Batman quite as bad ass as Grant Morrison, Frank Miller or Scott Snyder.

Reason for my self-imposed exile from cosmic comics. Was doing more than that on a weekly basis :/ Though I am going there next week to buy some proper action figures for my sons b-day. Must resist the other temptations...
