Sony sued over PlayStation Network's no-suing clause

That is funny, Americans like finding reasons to sue other Americans or non-americans or the world... They seem to be in it for the wrong reasons, anyway i doubt this will hold up, cause if he accepted the updated terms and conditions and then realised what he did, and then decided to sue, he cant. Like the article says i doubt he will win...

That previous ruling was wrong. If PSN were part of the marketed features of the product the judge would have a point, but it is in fact an integral part of the product. Sony in effect took away features people paid for. It doesn't surprise me though, the decision, because judges repeatedly show themselves to be thoroughly inept in this arena.

Not entirely true. People (1)paid for and (2)AGREED to the terms and conditions of use. It is a two way street. Paying for it does not mean that you can do with it as you please (unfair I know, I am not a big fan of this idea either). As soon as you click "I Accept" after "reading" the terms and conditions (which nobody ever does), you are contractually bound to that agreement. As soon as you go against the terms and conditions laid out in that agreement, you have no leg to stand on.

Being in the software business (which relies heavily on end user license agreements) and also studying commercial law modules, this is something that is overlooked more often than not. Even though most of these things are very unfair, you have agreed to them...and now there is nothing that you can do about it unless it is proved to be unconstitutional or not acceptable by society in general.
