I have dodged in a chopper... but I was flying with my rotor vertical.... apparently it doesnt provide lift like that :/

it was that or it was locked on to someone else... but i like to think that I am special :beam:

The Javelin is a silent killer for choppers and jets, no warning, just .... BOOM!!!
 
Use ECM to stop the lock. then as the new locks commence gunner needs to flair to stop the new lock then dive stop soflam from locking and go up once your ECM i up again.

1. Spot where the soflam is more than likely the squad member with javelin is closer, to the soflam than far way from it.
2 . IF you didn't get rid of the sound and it stops.. Your basically gone unless you know where you got shot from place a building between you and the javelin and it will hit the building.

Weve kept chopper up for quite some time this way. ( my pilots were good - Craffie, Grim or other SG or BFB pilots.
 
I have noticed racing away in a tank seems to get rid of a few javelins, think they hit buildings or something but it definitely helps.

Cant wait to get home and play, had to share the gaming with the gf this weekend, 2 hours bf3 then shes cods for 2 hours meh

So basically, lose LOS. Works with Stingers too. Or use buildings between yourself and the missile origin. Normally jets and choppers will have either a person on the vehicle or another to approximate the source of the missile by means of looking for the smoke trail left by the missile.
Not sure if RL Javelins can be used against jets. The reverse has been done where a F-15E took out a chopper using a laser guided bomb. Happened during Desert Storm circa 1992.

I also found that it was IMPOSSIBLE to take out the choppers, then when i got in one i got milked in like a minute every time. So i think the pilots are just good :)

Also the AA Mobile works really well

A jet (I think Buzz) and myself had a nice cat and mouse game the other night.
I will shoot him with the AA, he will guided shell me, I repair and move the vehicle. Repeat cycle.

yep and you were tying to figure out just where i was coming from :D

i would like whilst hitting the after burner so it be sooo fast you didn't see me coming :D

It was lank funny buzz, wish I got a repair medal, but every time I jump out the vehicle doesn't show as a team or squad vehicle. :(

i was in truth hoping my guided missile killed you while you were repairing, you have no idea how many times i have doe that to an engineer repairing, same goes for the Javelin, splash damage ftw :D
