The elites of the world want you dead!!! Now that is some funny shit. We dont want you dead, without you who would be force to work day in and day out to further our goals? We need a work force, just like an ant & bee colony needs worker ants and bees.

Why would it shatter all believe systems or faith? Surely a god that decided to seed this miserable speck of dust with life could have done so somewhere else. If nothing else it would strengthen many religious arguments. If Earth is the only planet with "intelligent" life it would mean that our evolution was probably an evolutionary fart, a once of accident. Where as life through out the universe could be a very clear interpretation that there has to be some sort of intelligent design behind it.

Maybe there is an elder race of aliens :p who knows what the hell goes in in the universe.

If they did they can keep it to themselves. If we knew the universes secrets it would greatly reduce to point of being alive.

The only reason it wasn't like that is coz gaming was niche and only about 1/10th as big as it is now. People always Lamenting the "good old days" pisses me off to no extent. Everything was NOT better back then, its was just new and like with everything new it eventually becomes old and ordinary.

These trends are depressing as people are more and more afraid to try something new and this is solely the fault of the consumer. If something isn't enough like something old, but not too much, its left to wither and die.
 
Had another dream on how the world is going to end, this time it was cyborgs, but they started attacking at the coast. Funny thing though, we could resist them this time round being given powers by small group of people.
 
All my recent dreams have been inside Skyrim, I think I play too much. Last night, I dreamed of work and my boss was wearing heavy armor and had a sabre cat as a pet. And everywhere I walk there is ice and i slide down mountains....

weird...

I must say, the ancient astronaut theory is a really interesting, although only just a theory it has merit, i know this may piss of modern Egyptian's, Aztec's and Mayan's but i don't believe either of those civilizations built those amazing pyramids without "help" also while on the topic, Omega have you heard of the Book of Enoch? Another quite amazing piece of scripture....

I'll give you guys an interesting example, what if you were one day to go back in time to say the early beginning of man and arrive in a helicopter wearing a pilots suit etc, the natives would think you to be something else, the God's from the skies, you see people back then couldn't fully understand what they were seeing, Angels for instance are given wings in pictures yet nowhere are angels described as having wings themselves instead they were trying to convey that these beings had the ability to defy gravity and fly and back then they knew of one other thing that can fly birds...

Also Omega have you read any text from or seen any interviews with Erich von Däniken?

When i think of all this stuff, it can get really deep though...:)

See I think they did build them, my question is more about how. I can understand the knowledge getting lost to time due to wars etc.

I haven't read any of the religious book on the subject. Will scan through it at some point.

Well that's just it you see, we today cannot replicate nor create something as accurate as the pyramids...im sure there was a helping hand and probably a simple technique too, but clearly we don't quite understand...i dont think its folley to believe such a thing

Yep. There are so many artefacts that have been discovered which seem "out of place" for the time they date back to.
I have a theory that another sentient race came to earth (the direct ancestors of modern man) for either colonisation or to escape their own dying world (Mars maybe). For a time they lived in relative peace with the other hominid species of Earth (as there is proof of inbreeding) but like the Spanish with the Mayan's and Aztechs war broke out. Whether for survival or out of sheer hatred of the inferior Neanderthal, Modern Man then hunted Neanderthal and other early hominid to extinction. As a result of this war advance knowledge and maybe even contact with the home world was lost (maybe by choice or design like in BattleStar Galactica).

One of the reasons many including Stephen Hawkin's who believes Aliens to be a threat to man for the above example you just stated, the inferior race always loses, they may also depend how advanced they are, but lets face it, if they are FAR away and arrive here, their tech will be far ahead of ours....
