Hey all!

I was wondering if someone could perhaps give my a hand. Does anyone know of a place in/around Cape Town that gives good service, at affordable prices? My graphics card decided to die recently, and I would like to replace it, perhaps even build a whole new rig.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Try speak to Joker, he can sort you out with something at a really good rate and get it shipped down to you. Out of the places I know, cheapest non online places afaik in Cape Town The Joker still works out cheaper. Otherwise check back with me and I can help you out with some cheaper then Incredible / Computer Mania rates.

Cafe Viva is pretty decent on the prices side. After sales service isn't too great unless you put your foot down with them. Speak to Derek at the Durbanville branch. For online, LandmarkPC is pretty great. The guy is based in Pinelands so you can order something and pick it up. He generally gives you a discount for picking it up too.

Cafe Viva aren't always the cheapest though. I bought my mouse from them for more then R100 more then from some other place I know in the southern peninsula. Some things are cheaper but more often then not its more expensive.

Also there's DC3 in Tygervalley, they were my favorite shop in Cape Town. Insanely good service, great bunch of people with good prices. They went out of their way to help me with the smallest of things.

We go there alot, but there service and prices are not the best. My brother's hard drive broke and it had to be replaced bcz he had a guarantee. They took about a month to replace it.

Is this in the Tygervalley shopping mall?

Buddies of mine who are starting out and are charging crazy small markup... Download their pricelist and give them a ring. Speak with Kyle, he is not very business minded and keeps trying to sell the cheaper stuff and not make any money!

Wow, those prices are amazing. I too am doing the above with starting up something and have been looking for a local supplier. How reliable are they, do they deliver and do they accept eft's? What suburb are they based in?
