Hey guys,

In an effort to rid our servers of hackers, we have installed a Country kicker which prevents overseas players from playing on the SGS metro servers.

Please provide feedback :)
 
Infy to the rescue of SGS Part 1 - BF3 Xenophobia.

Part 2 to come next week. Im thinking Part 2 - The Germans Strike Back.
 
I'm guessing they are also going to run allot smoother now since INT players will no longer cause lag and server side packet loss.

Does it just block excessively high latency users or actually check if its not a local IP?

All we need now is a ping spike and another reason to DC from a game. Hope it is an ip blocker
 
We are deploying a new Server version with improved security against cheating tonight / tomorrow morning
We will be testing on this new version and providing DICE with feedback
 
i love how DICE maintains a active interest in the running of the servers by listening to feedback about the changes :)

In-case none of you have seen this. Check out the blog submission from an EA/DICE representative - Battlefield 3 anti-cheat measures

I have just heard that the guys over at DICE have queued several hundred accounts for the banning process.

We will be performing maintenance on all WAGE servers shortly. We will be running a test instance of R17 which was released yesterday evening. Additionally we will be making changes to our anti-cheat system and enabling a few services/functions to help rid the servers of hackers and make it more enjoyable for you guys.

We'll let you know when we will be doing this.

please thank your admin team, we had a hacker on the other night, called for admin, less than 5min admin came and hacker was banned, kudos!

Cool XeroS1x, thanx. We need to keep the servers clear of such Trolls.
