Watsup forumites.

So I bought Bad Company 2 not a 2 days ago now. I realize that I am a slowpoke, thank you. My question is simple does anybody still play this game? The local servers are all empty right now at the time of writing this. Do you guys play only at night if at all anymore?

The short answer is no. Man, you shouldn't have done that! What were you thinking? Haha...Those servers are empty for a reason, man. Everyone's jamming BF3 now.

The few that are playing BFBC2 are generally the ones who are unable to play Battlefield 3 due to the high-spec requirements. We initially were going to scrap all BFBC2 servers and focus on BF3, but decided to leave two running as there was still some demand albeit very little.

As Tooks said, everyone has moved over to BF3, pretty much.

My reason for not buying BF3 is simple. I don't care for origin. Anyway, noob question: are there aerial vehicles in Bad Company 2?

Origin isn't really that bad.i have worked out every single bug i have come across, the only bug that remains is telkom

For some reason origin feels better then starting the game up and then looking for servers, guess i got use to it because i get pissed of every time BF3 starts when i launch it in offline mode (I'm use to the browser starting up with the menus)

Discarding the thought of purchasing BF3 simply due the notion of using Origin should not discourage you from trying it out. I generally don't even see the Origin interface, it simply runs in the background and launches my game automatically when I launch via the Battlelog browser interface.

Origin is crappy, but at least it isn't in your face and generally does not give any problems. Battlefield 3 is a solid game worth too much to be eclipsed by the negativity related to Origin.

BFBC2 does include attack choppers, but in my opinion, someone who has played the original Battlefields; the controls and gameplay are not that similar to Battlefield 3. For the full in-game aerial combat experience, go Battlefield 3.

ORIGIN's stealthiness is precisely the reason I am wary of it. Fear most the enemy that you cannot see.

Sorry to say this bud , But
1. I agree completely with Xero , everything he said is spot on.
2. I think you may be overly paranoid about Origin , well Unless you have secret Missile designs on your PC that you don't want
EA to know about .

Origin is like steam , every EA title will be using this from now so your limiting yourself from many games.
Me and people smarter than myself have seen what it does and it doesn't secretly upload your porn collection ,and or your choice of Porn.
Only reason I can really see is the Missile one but if that is true then you need to uninstall I-tunes

Seriously now give it a shot BF3 is so worth it , the game, the gfx, the FUN

Venom, I can appreciate that you trust your testimonials. I suppose I have been caught up in the hate-machine surrounding Origin. Now that I think about it, I was really thumb sucking, I don't have facts to support a dislike of Origin. I'm still having fun with Bad Company 2. I bought it because it was cheap (R100) and playing on the international servers hasn't hindered my ability to kick-ass too much :) and it still looks fine on the highest settings. Maybe if my funds allow I'll buy BF3 in the coming months.

Oh really? I received an e-mail from EA asking if I had more of the same. I declined and told them I don't want them involved in my spare time :p.

Not really, though :D. Btw, Origin's a pussycat. Don't be foolish, just get the damn game!
