My cuz is going to be so upset he just bought a 64GB wifi 3g one last week... And i told him to wait there is a new one coming this year.
Virtually everyone I know who has an iPad or tablet hardly uses the damn thing, or they spend 80% the time playing games on it, and the other 20% browsing the net. Its worse if they have a smartphone as browsing on it is just as convenient if not more.
WHile I'd still like a tablet - because I'm a gadget freak - I'm not convinced the newer models would be worth it. I mean, if you had an iPad 2, how much better can the iPad 3 really be? Really? Similar to the upgrade from an original iPad to an iPad2?
ok, that is cool, I'll give you that. But the majority of the peoplle that have them that I know just dont use them to even a quarter of its potential. Its super handy in the corporate world. Our MD uses his alot and the Fasion site we share the office with uses it when demoing the site to potential clients.

Disagree, users arent moron theres just only so much you can use these tabs for.
They dont replace anything, just an added extra.
Personally i wouldnt use one, i know i wouldnt, but if it was bought for me i'd take it smiling![]()
Well if the 3 is kinda like the iPhone4S it wont be such a huge issue. But if it has all the new bits and bobs that its rumoured to have he will be kicking himself. Im still holding off but its due to me getting a 15" Macbook pro late 2011 model in a few weeks.
That is also true, there isnt much really different i think, beside the obvious LTE rumour. But he said he cant wait the whole time, and i said its a few months out. He was going to buy the iphone4S too so i said you have iphone 4 no point in upgrading as there is much difference. Atleast I saved him money there.
Apple in my opinion, just know how to milk its user base, minor changes and a rebrand for the same thing does not mean anything new. If they going to put a new number next to the name it has to have unique changes that make it different from previous generations.
There is only so many uses for any device, giving that a "downside" is like saying there is only so many uses for a toothbrush so its a waste of money, or a razor, or a laptop.
Most people who buy ipads and then end up not using them are morons. The ability to stand on a packed tube, like I do everyday, and read articles, books etc and make notes, highlight text, or just reading one of the hundreds of documents people in the higher echelons are required to do its a god send. Just coz people buy it as a fancy toy and not with some clear uses inmind doesn't make it a bad product, it makes the people who bought it as a fancy toy idiots. The end.
No body is forcing the userbase to upgrade...
True, I didnt say they are, i just said they know how... They arent being forced, but somehow people have a misconception of if its new it must be way better. And i not saying it applies to everyone either, but there are tons of people that are new Apple products or upgrading cause they believe its better than alot of other things out there, which i believe is horse shit, cause its price tag is higher.
I think i am going to stop commenting on this cause i really dont like Apple or its products, and i know i am going to argue my point and you yours and we both not going to concede or i might just to end it cause both our beliefs are firm in opposite views and maybe i am wrong.
