Yip, bought a new house in October. In Bryanston, northern JHB.

Can't wait. Much bigger and it has a bar! My life is almost complete.

Thats always a good idea. As long as you have the time, you can save money doing it that way and at least you get what you want.

Once I have paid this new house off I am buying a holiday house at the coast.

Just do your self a favour please if you are considering building your own home - times your budget by 4 and expect it to be close to that amount. Same goes for alterations and so forth. Also plan to wait at least a year before moving in from the start date.

Oh and the other very important thing is, check how long it will take you local council to approve the plans. That alone can cause a huge fuckup
