Nvidia not impressed by the AMD HD7970

Well tell Nvidia to stop bitching and get out their next gen cards.
I own a Sapphire 7970 and its incredible, haven't even overclocked and it eats my gtx580 without even breaking a sweat.
I see 1 major issue with Nvidia..They will never be able to make a card that can overclock as well as the 7xxx can. Their cards are known for heat issues and over heating.

Obviously they'll be all big mouth now, seeing as the 7970 is already available and they have nothing that competes against it, Their next gen cards aren't gonna be around for some time, and March the 7990 launches...I wanna see Nvidia drop a card that'll beat that within this year.

Nvidia are obviously confident that their own high-end cards will overpower the AMD HD7970, and confirmed that the next generation Kepler cards are on track to meet the original launch date of late Q1/early Q2.

Their flagship card will not launch 2nd Q this year. Possibly only closer to Q4.
 
Hahah this is the old story they must say something and to be fair the 580 reigned king for a long time....
 
lol Reading my post now xD Makes me look like a fanboy but in actual fact I buy what is fastest, Still have my Trusty GTX580, fantastic card, but seriously out muscled by the 7970 which was to be expected.

On a side note, Unfortunately we get screwed in SA, with suppliers and retailers putting insane mark ups on cards.
Their are some online shops in the states that have 7970's for less than GTX580's, so that gives you a true indication of what a great card the 7970 really is.
 
Well, of course they would say that. Would Samsung ever say: "Apple make absolutely the best smartphones ever made!"??
 
Nvidia is not saying the 7970 is not a good card, they just saying it looks nothing like it's FB Profile pic :p
 
Rule number one, make sure when you make these kind of statements that you can back it up, if you cannot back it up and your not 110% sure that you're better than the competition, you'll end up looking like a doos Nvidia.....
