No news for a week?

Here's a character model pic for those too lazy to use the previously posted links:

Another project inspired by the Strugatsky brothers (the broken English subtitles are entertaining):

Admittedly, character animations have always been one of the Stalker series' weaker points. It wasn't that evident in 2007 (Shadow of Chernobyl), but became teeth-grindingly obvious in 2010 (Call of Pripyat). However, I'd be the first to point out that the game wasn't about that.

The following video comes from former GSC animator Sergey Zhukov, so it might not be that official, but at least it shows that GSC (if they can still be referred to as such) is putting in a lot of effort to bring the animations up to today's standards:

I love how the small details make the character come to life; kneepad fiddling, weight shifting, leg scratching, neck rubbing, foot tapping. It's the things we all do. Except maybe for the kneepad thing, unless you're a skateboarder, professional wrestler or chronic kitchen floor cleaner.

Ah Juice nice find! I lve the fact that you can now see what gun each person is carrying, including pistol. Just curious what'll happen if you use 2 rifles in your inventory and whether you can still do that.

"We were unable to secure the IP rights to continue with the Stalker franchise." Why could they not secure the IP rights? Who owns it? Grigorovich?

Oh wait, found this on the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Twitter page: "GSC is owned by Sergiy Grygorovych, it's founder. He owns all IP rights to the Stalker brand." Looks like the development team abandoned him, or he abandoned them?

Juice my friend, please keep us updated on this! I'd love to get my hands on a nice calender like that. It'll become a collector's item at some point.

Forgot to post this; got the calender some time ago. It sold for $9.99 and eventually cost me about R110. Its a very good quality standing calender and I love how it's split up into 52 weeks, not the usual 12 months. Therefore there are 52 different screenshots from all three S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. Well worth it:

Ah nice one that Juice, what about Southern Comfort the book? Have you received that yet?

S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 is now on ice. I wonder if it'll ever be continued. I'm doubtful. And sad. Time to drink more vodka.

Got the book as well, about halfway through. Pretty darn awful I'm afraid, but I expected as much.

I think since Grigorovich still has the rights to the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. name, he might try to woo a big developer later on to help get the franchise back on its feet, but for now he's spending time with his family.
