@ Spooner: That is the newest one. The first 2012 model is expected to hit sometime in April - May.
But it booted up and loaded a bunch of benchmarking apps. To my thinking if its a fresh boot it would be 10.
I am still in two minds on the SSD, tempted to just go fuck it and get a 256gb from Amazon for £320 but worrying about space, especially if I put on Bootcamp for those pesky windows only apps/games. The 512gb goes for £626 so it may be worth saving up and getting it instead. Either way I want one of those hardrive docks things in which I will put the 750 that comes with the Macbook & the one in my current laptop.

Space is always an issue when it comes to SSD. Also remember that SSD's have a limited lifespan. They can only do so many read / write cycles before they die. But it would probably last you long enough before it does die.

But I mean my Macbook only has a 250GB HDD and I manage fine. Obviously I don't store a lot of big stuff on it, but I have a external drive for that.

Thats my line of thinking also. Pick up the 256gb SSD & a 3tb Timecapsule. Hook my existing externals (a 1tb for data & 2 tb for my ripped dvds as well as the 750 the SSD will replace) to the timecapsule via high speed usb hub. Keeping all my media files and the like on the externals and only loading the apps onto the 250gb I should manage just fine.

Having been "on the internet" for one and a half decades now, I've witnessed the slow-but-steady rise of the female presence online. It's a bizarre thing to witness... mostly due to how the other males react :P

I dunno if you saw earlier but I came across this on Amazon...
