Mass Effect 3′s Insanity Mode details

“We really thought about it hard. On Normal you’ll be able to power your way through the game or shoot your way through the game, but when you try Hardcore or Insanity, you’re not going to be able to do that any more,” lead designer Preston Watamaniuk told OXM.
So basically;

Normal = Easy
Hard = Normal
Insane = Hard

How exactly is it that the 'normal' difficulty lets you just ignore all the game mechanics and faceroll the game, that's just stupid.

IMO after devs saw how much people loved Dark Souls/Demon's Souls insane difficulty this "Hardcore Mode" or "Inanity" became the new buzz word.

I normally play most games on their hardest difficulty anyways. The only thing that bugs me is when they hide these harder modes behind the easier ones and force you to play through the game first on the crap easy difficulties before letting you try the harder ones.

I think its time to replay Mass Effect 2....

Anyone know where ME2 stock is?
Had it for PS3, but sold the PS3 before I finished it and would like to before ME3.
Now I have PC, but nowhere seems to have stock.

Seems challenging. That reminds me...almost time to play ME2 again to get a nice save game set up for ME3. Cannot wait for this to release.

While the naming of the difficulties might be a bit pointless, the toughest one seems really good. I get bored with combat when it's just running in all guns blazing with (pretty much) GODMODE turned on. :P
