SWTOR logs 1.7-million subscribers

The number includes the players who are still within their first 30-day period. In my book that's about 500k players they shouldn't be counting as active subscribers.

I'll wait and see what things look like 6 months down the line. That same 6 months will see the release of Tera, possibly see the release of Blade & Soul ... so we'll see if they manage to hang on to that.

Yeah I agree they seem to love to jump on how good its doing in the 1st month. But its only a while and people will start finding fault in the game and leave if its not fixed asap. So yeah also looking forward to seeing what it looks like 6months from now.
 
6 months is a good acid test for MMO's since most people should hit max level in that time, well at least the initial batch of people. That's where the really staying power lies.

Yeah late game is super important. I played a mmo(immortals something) and the beginning it was really intresting but there was so little late game content that I just could not be bothered doing the same 2 daylie quest.
