Things you could buy for the price of a top-end gaming system

For the same price I'd rather get a system for R20k, most of the steam catalogue, and someone to bring me sammiches :)

While you at it, why only get a 30" screen when you could get an 8K cinema projector????

:)

There is a lot wrong with that setup...That's not a dream gaming rig. More a benching rig.

Considering 4x 7970's is useless for gaming...I would even say 3 is a bit much seeing as 2 cards are ideal as soon as you add more, the scaling drops a heck of a lot, so those 2 extra cards are only really pushing 25%. So complete waste of cash.

I'll put together a dream gaming rig a bit later when I have free time.

No you don't get it, you have 4 so you can play two games at the same time, multitasking biatch! :)

lmao xD You'll see what I mean when I put together a proper dream gaming rig. I have built a few dream gaming rigs, one very recent...So will share some of my awesomeness with you nubs xD lol

I have to agree with the others, I was expecting an article about some nice to haves for a decent machine. And not a wish list for somebody who just won the UK lottery...

If I win the UK lottery, that machine will be a puny human compared to the "Satan Slayer Death Magik Soul Sucker" that I am putting together...

Example: My HDD would look something like this(OS, Apps and Games):

You forgot the fiber intertubes. No MP games for you....

I reckon one can build a 50k machine though & the average user won't notice the difference if you build it right.

Also....bzzzzz Eskom just killed your 180k box. :p Needs an online UPS.
