Yeah ... but NA's servers aren't being managed by Gameforge. Our sucky luck. I'll go as far as downloading the US client because the EU version is totally pay-2-win from this point forward.

Lol i think its actually going to be the other way around personally, If u look at L2 there is items u buy from the cash store where like 40% inc move speed, 30% attack speed etc...
In my view i think gameforge is actually gonna do better here.
But i mean that was EXTREMELY wrong what NC did.
They basically said
NC: "here we go GF, test the free to play"
GF: "Ok sweet heres what we will do with instances etc"
NC: "Thanks"

NC: "Ok we going totally f2p no reduced cooldowns etc, thanks for testing f2p and screw u gf"
I mean even during the test there wasnt any pay to win items in the gameforge cash store "even though was just a test" was just dye's and pets really...

No ... I don't mean with regards to the cash store. I mean with regards to the veteran/free vs gold players.
Frankly, anybody who's determined not to pay for the game is going to get face-rolled so badly by the subbed players they'll quit before reaching 50. The subscribers have massive benefits over the free players - in terms of AP earned, the cooldowns on the forts are something like a week for free players, and massively bad cooldowns for the instances as well.
Free players (not the vets) have really bad limits in terms of gathering and selling items - so they have no real way of making money, so they won't be able to gear up at all, and even if they manage it (after epic epic amounts of grinding), they'll be running around in PvE gear meaning they'll be zero match for the uber-AP-geared players already running around.
Frankly, I'm going to log in and hang around Heiron for a bit just so I can learn some new swearwords, because it will be coming from the freebies. I'm just happy my newbie SM has 37 crowns in storage, so she'll at least have a chance once I decide to hand them in.

They get nerfed in 3.0 - assuming we ever get that far.
Heya guys 
I am currently having issues with logging into my Aion since the free to play migration - my Screen Freezes when I try select my character ~ and also no pin request comes up.
Is there any of you that has the same issue and have found a way to fix it ?
I was thinking i may need to re-install the client but i don't have the cap for that.
Is there any1 in cape town blouberg area that has a working copy of the new Gameforge free to play client that is kind enough to help me out with a copy?

Carnage sent me the solution last night - I had the same issue. So he should be fine now.
With regards to Voicy's issue - can you log into the Account Management at the Aionfreetoplay.com site?

Not sure which URL that is. I can log into NCSoft's master account from where I transferred my Aion to the F2P model.

The NCSoft master account is no longer associated with the European client at all. You need to go to http://www.aionfreetoplay.com/website/login to log into what is now your GameForge account. The login details, by the way, are the details you used before to log into the game itself - not the details for NCSoft.
If you can log in there, you should technically be able to log into the game, but if not you might have to log a ticket.

I can't be entirely certain, but I think they've removed the homeland defence buffs that were in place. At least there were quite a few Asmos running around Eltnen, and they hurt me when they hit me - the fights were pretty equal. So at least my little level 21 ranger scored some AP last night.
