Shame man, i think he just needs to get out more see the sunlight, or perhaps his Mother keeping him inside for protection from the trolls outside?
 
I was about to make a long winded post about pissing contests on the internet.But rather I came to this conclusion before I posted, I really don't give a shit.There is always someone better than you, even if he is not, on the internet he could be anyone and do anything in his epic little fantasy.

Moving along.Back to the topic.Wonder how many events there will be, here's hoping the beta download won't be 50gb :P

The client would hopefully be in the region of 20GB, well that's what I'm hoping for in max file size. Could even be less if they don't include high res textures as a requirement :)

Wonder how they are going to split the events if any like stress, item, ah, pvp, wvw etc etc. Micro testing, but working way up to macro is not bad idea.

Chosen a race yet you'd like to play mr Spartan ?

I care, as you can gather, and I will piss more content if needed. Anyway; I would think 20Gb would be a target we should prepare for. And patches after release, I cant see it be as small as GW lol, 100-200Mb patches maybe (if they update as regularly as with GW).

Edit: WTF we actually agreed on the size??

20gb...So I won't be playing the Beta.No time to download that kind of client.

Chameleon you misunderstand.I don't care for flame wars on a forum or people slipping in hints in their posts how cool they are because of what they do or did.Any tit can do that(And no Prophet I am not talking about anyone specific, I am generalizing).Everybody has opinions, and sometimes you have to read or listen to them, sad fact of life.

Human, I always play a terran race no matter the game.I can't get into that I am a giant cat with a sword thing.Or that alien with 20 breasts with a ray gun.

Events will probably be the same as GW.With a pvp event and pve event or both.All we have is speculation, but if you take it from the last beta event it will be pve and pvp and you choose what you want to play.

I'm going for human, small and magical. I don't mind as much playing something odd, but I have to relate otherwise it turns out as FF14 where I can't play the game simple because I don't relate to any class or race...

Yes, if its only going to be a beta weekend then downloading (and hoping it gets finished) is sort of pointless, but if its given a fair amount of time for download before a beta weekend, then I will download it. As for which race, I have no idea yet which will be first, I know it will not be a Norn though. Same thing with the professions :(, they are all really well done; for the first time in a MMO, a Warrior type is something I might enjoy as well.

Best way is to let people start early with their downloads and have them patch if they missed an update. Like starting on a monday for friday and then just small patch of 500 meg? Besides then you don't have server instant downtime due to everybody needing to download it from Thursday...

It would be bad if everyone had to start downloading close to beta, wonder how many there will be invited...
Last night everyone read the link from the developer from Arenanet on reddit, instantly broke ducsboard.com, I tried one minute after he sent the link.. the site was already down, I was amazed about all the people actually reading the session...
 
I doubt it would be 20GB, SWTOR is only that big because of all the VO. Of course we'll have to wait and see, I know for the press beta visuals were locked to low, so I assume they don't have the high res stuff in the beta to keep the size down.
