So SSX is out on Friday. Is nobody else interested in this game?

Ever since SSX3 I've been a huge fan of the series and after playing the demo I'm convinced they nailed it once again, so I'm really looking forward to playing it this weekend.

Anyone else as excited for this game as I am?

PS: Classic controls ftw! :D

Played the demo yesterday and i't looking good. SSX 3 was the last great snowboarding game. Amped was ok but it really does look like this reboot nailed it. I's going to have to wait until after Mass Effect 3 but I will be picking it up eventually.
 
I'm not big into sports titles but I've been following this one for a while now.

Wingsuits and stupidly-epic air stunts? Um, yes please.
 
Ja, also downloaded the demo a few days ago. My wife is hooked and played it the whole day....so needless to say thats my next game purchase for sure. I think they've done a great job with this release, it just feels so smooth and well rounded.

Although, now its going to take away from my BF3 and MW3 time, coz she's going to be hogging the xbox :eek:
 
I've been playing SSX since it's inception, I LOVE the series! Best sports series. Period. Tricky was the best in the series.

I'm not online at the moment but I'm only hearing good things about this reboot. I can't wait :D!

I so want to play this. I played tricky years ago(even my mom loved playing that) Maybe I should get this on the weekend.
 
I'm dissapointed it doesnt have split-screen. The demo was pretty cool, only two slopes, one for score and one race.

It has a really cool online mode though, I doubt I'm going to miss the split screen much.
 
I used to play Tricky on the original Xbox, and lawd was that the best game on the planet... Most fun I've ever had, just because f*ck physics!
 
I want to play really badly! I have played every single one of them, was the first thing I ever played on my PS2. Made a conscious effort to replay tricky in the last year, still the best sporting game ever released. I'm so excited to get a chance to play
 
The game is absolutely fantastic. Beating your friends scores on Ridernet is ludicrously addictive.

Seems like this is a new trend with EA. The Run has the same problem, I can't play it with any of my "real life" friends. I hate that, they are taking the online gaming aspect too far, it's ruining actual social gaming. It makes me really angry to be honest.

Other than that, I just got the game today, only had a few minutes to play seems fun so far. I remember playing Tricky on PS2 at a friend's house, but never really got into the series so I hope this'll be a keeper.

Yeah had the same issue with new NFS most wanted, awesome game, but still missed split screen. What control setups is everyone using? The new thumbstick controls, or the old school control setup?

I use Classic Controls, it's like riding a bike, after a few minutes it all started coming back to me.
 
So after playing the game for a few days I have come to that conclusion that SSX... IS AWESOME :D!!

It's bringing back sooooooo many memories!! I'm in love with this game!! I've loving how easy it is to pull off trick, and the course designs are absolutely fantastic! I just can't decide on which is better, Tricky or this revamp of the series?

I do have two gripes though:

1) The lack of a competitive tournament in SSX. Imagine if we have like and X-Games sort of competition in SSX, or hell even a generic nameless event but it had the same structure. That would have made this game EPIC.

2) I haven't played online yet, but the lack of lobbies I can see is gonna be a real pain. I remember racing it down the slopes in Tricky with all my mates, now you can only race their ghost :(... Having an optional lobby system where you could race with friends, now that would have been awesome!

But otherwise this game is just EPIC! I've waited for a REAL SSX game since Tricky, and by God we finally have one :D!
