Apple’s new device has been revealed to the world

As I've been looking at getting one I will hold off a little longer and pick up one of these.

With so few predators, it's no surprise that the company's latest iPad -- simply called 'the new iPad' -- has hardly evolved at all, keeping the same winning design and boasting steady improvements like a higher resolution screen, improved camera and a faster processor.

But with its hi-res screen people will propably end up calling it the iPad HD or the iPad 3.

Yeah, and when the next iPad comes out? The NEXT NEW IPAD. Then the LATEST NEXT NEW IPAD. It's the third generation of iPads, so we're adopting the iPad 3 name. If, for some reason, Apple releases an 'official' iPad 3, we can refer to this as the PREVIOUS IPAD 3.

Don't get me wrong Dan, the iPad is the best tablet out there, I'm just bothered about people's anticipations and reactions whenever Apple decides to release a new product off their pre-existing range. It's like spectating a mob frenzy, bending to the hype.
If you don't have an iPad, this is awesome news, but if you already have one, I'm sure people can find better ways to spend their money.

That was obviously made by someone without a single shred of understanding when it comes to technology design and HCI.

Thomas Edison also didn't invent the light bulb, but no-one gave a fig about before he made it better.

As for the iPad 3/HD/New/whatever, I have to say damn, so many pixels so little space pretty crazy.

Surely a positive response to this along with a remarkably clever marketing campaign is the expected reaction?

Look, I'm not saying that there aren't plenty of fanboys out there who'll buy the next iPad simply because it's just that, but I think it's hard to fault Apple for the way they've undoubtedly given us the best tech on the market.

Besides, if you were selling one of your inventions, wouldn't you want consumers to feel the same hype, love and praise that Apple has?
