Mass Effect 3 Thread

Yeah, I <3 my turret. Which enemy type do you find is the hardest to beat?

Mine is definitely the Reapers. On Bronze we usually have no trouble beating either Cerberus or the Geth, but the moment the Reapers start rolling out Banshees, 2/3 times we die.

Definitely Reapers. Usually by round 9 or 10 they start throwing Banshees, Brutes and Ravagers all at once and it can get pretty hairy trying to survive that scenario.

Yeah one brute is ok, 2 brutes and a banshee in the mix is just not ok!

Waco, Wyv and I were playing the other night and them banshees were rather nasty!

At least there are none of those barrier devices in the MP so far, a banshee with a barrier is unfair !

Oh, our Banshees have always had Barriers in MP so far.

With regards to characters, I also unlocked the Drell Adept a while back, but I'm not feeling him yet. He dies way too easy and his powers aren't anything to write home about either.

I once played a match with a guy who used the Drell, he ended up scoring more than all the rest of us combined...

I guess a lot of the classes perform better depending on your playstyle. Adept seems to be more of a support class, killing enemies from cover while your allies keep them distracted. I'm more of a 'run into the thick of things and just start shooting' guy, which is why my most-played classes are Soldier and Sentinel. :p

Sentinel is pretty amazing if you want to tank.

With regards to the ending not being what Bioware promised us:

Taken directly from the official site:

-Along the way, your choices drive powerful outcomes, including relationships with key characters, the fate of entire civilizations, and even radically different ending scenarios.

And a few from interviews and the like:

-"This story arc is coming to an end with this game. That means the endings can be a lot more different. At this point we're taking into account so many decisions that you've made as a player and reflecting a lot of that stuff. It's not even in any way like the traditional game endings, where you can say how many endings there are or whether you got ending A, B, or C."

-"It's more like there are some really obvious things that are different and then lots and lots of smaller things, lots of things about who lives and who dies, civilizations that rose and fell, all the way down to individual characters. That becomes the state of where you left your galaxy. The endings have a lot more sophistication and variety in them."

-"As Mass Effect 3 is the end of the planned trilogy, the developers are not constrained by the necessity of allowing the story to diverge, yet also continue into the next chapter. This will result in a story that diverges into wildly different conclusions based on the player's actions in the first two chapters."

-"I honestly think the player base is going to be really happy with the way we've done it. You had a part in it. Every decision you've made will impact how things go. The player's also the architect of what happens."

And this pic also explains a lot. http://i.imgur.com/xUq9t.png
For obvious reasons, it might be considered a spoiler as it is a pic of the ending

Can we please keep anything relating to the ending in Spoiler tags or in another thread. I have not finished it yet, I am in no rush to finish and I dont want to keep stumbling over possible spoilers. I will weight in on this debate once I've experienced the ending for myself.

Thanks.

I am in full agreement. I can't turn my head anywhere on the internet without seeing something like this. I suppose that happens when you frequent gaming sites, but I am quite happy to not know how this ends.

I am at the point where I ignore anything with the Words "Mass Effect" in it on either my Facebook, Playfire, Raptr walls. Or any thread on any of the forums I frequent. I refuse to let this whining taint my experience in one of the best games ive ever played.

Its getting harder and harder to avoid spoilers. I'm no where near the end, and also have no plans to rush it. Can't believe it can be that bad.

Except my post contained zero spoilers. Merely quotes from articles that have been on the internet for weeks, or even months already.

Whiners-about-whiners aside, for those that are done with the game, here's an article which pretty much sums up my feelings. http://www.play-mag.co.uk/general/why-the-mass-effect-3-ending-sucked/

It kinda ignores the conspiracy theory, but it still touches on a lot of valid points.

Neither could I. I was putting it down to typical internet melodramatics. Then I finished the game. :p

I didn't read your post because on several occasions, not on this site and not in posts you made, a seemingly innocent post suddenly and violently swerved into spoiler-ville. Which is why I put up the request. I, personally, would just prefer it if we can keen any and all talks of the ending, good, bad, shit, ultra-shit, borderlands shit, out of this thread and instead just discuss the 25 - 40 hours preceding the above mentioned endings which, lets face it, IS the game.

The ending is part of the game. Unless someone starts posting blatant spoilers, I don't see why we shouldn't be allowed to have discussions on the ending here.

No one is saying your not allowed, it was a friendly request from someone who hasn't finished the game and would still like to enjoy the remaining 20 odd hours i have to go. We have another thread already discussing the endings which is clearly marked. Like I said the entire rant about the endings can ruin the experience for people still playing the game. If you have to post it in here then post in in Spoiler tags so that those of us who want to ignore it can do so.

Erm, where?

Like I said the entire rant about the endings can ruin the experience for people still playing the game.

Does it ruin your gameplay experience every time someone on a forum expresses disappointment in a certain game?

Also, I honestly don't see where I was ranting in that post.

God donut Omegaboi, haven't finished Borderlands yet lol.

Erm, where?

Mass Effect 3 fans want a new game ending <---

No, people are fully entitled to voice their disappointment in the games beginning, middle, end, dlc, choice of platform, however since these "discussions" often veer into spoiler territory it can spoil the experience, as it has for me on reading posts (not here and not made by you) which seemed innocent and then veered violently into Spoiler-ville. I am also sure I am not the only person on this forum who feels this way.

Also, I honestly don't see where I was ranting in that post.

Please pay fucking Attention:

also nowhere did I say YOUR post was a rant, I refer to the rant in general.
