Mass Effect 3 Thread

Seriously, just google it. There are threads detailing every single issue people have with the ending on the Bioware forums. You can't really expect us to reiterate it all here now.

I just finished it, on Insanity, and chose the "green" ending and I can honestly say I dont see what all the fuss is about. I'll go have a ready through the novels written of the level of "shit" the ending is but I will say that if it had been my call, I would have finished it the exact same way.

@Omega, I went with the same option as it tied in well with the rest of my choices in the game. The end was a bit different to what most probably expected but I really enjoyed it. It reminded me of most books I've read actually , the way that the story closes with a little sliver of hope for something new to follow later.

Did you remember to stay until the end of the credits ?

When did you change your Insanity setting?

It was the logical choice which posed the best possible outcome. I honestly don't know what people were expecting but, to me, it could not have ended any other way. I also specifically didn't keep a second save just before the final push so I can't go back and try each ending. Instead I will choose a different ending with my second and 3rd Character. Jade Shepard's Story has ended.

I might do a right up and post it in the Endings thread, though I am still debating whether or not I will be reading any of the rants on the subject of Mass Effect 3's Endings or if I will just move on with my life. I might write BioWare a thank you letter. One of the best games with the Best Narrative in recent history. On Par with the plot BattleStar Galactica & a strong contender for Star Wars of our Generation.

Changed it? I changed it too insanity in the options menu before I even started the game. My game score jumped by about 200points upon finishing it, the regular Mission Accomplished, Patriot achievements but also Insanity & Unwavering. Also got Master & Commander for committing most of the galaxies resources to the fight. Was awesome. Only 1 & half levels from 60, so close.

Ah ok, it hasnt updated on xbox.com yet it seems. I only changed the settings after the game had started but before a left earth, so should get it as well when i finally get to the end.

Yeah, Xbox, Playfire and Rapt are all being Slow but if you check my profile while ur on Live it should show. I saw them and unlock. I am 6 Short of 100%. I only saw that you only need to be on Insanity after you leave earth. The last 6 are easy though. I see I've spent 51 hours on a single play through.

And here's the kicker. The people flaming the people complaining about the ending in the last week have actually been much bigger dicks than than the people actually complaining. Check any thread across the net, the Anti-Complaining Brigade have actually been the immature ones, whereas the people doing the actual complaints have been pretty mature about it. When alst did you hear of people spearheading the complaint campaign doing so with as much respect for Bioware as the Retake Mass Effect team have been doing? Even going so far as to involve the Child's Play charity? Last time I checked they had raised over $30k.

That's not typical internet rageboi 'ranting'. In fact, the people bitching and moaning about the complainants have actually just been typical 'enlightenmentbois'.

What's so hard about accepting that there are people who like as well as dislike the endings, and that none of us is wrong for taking that stance. Those of us who dislike the endings do so for more than just 'teh endingstory is teh suxxors'. We've got a specific set of reasons, and Bioware has said that they are listening to our complaints, so we'd like to see them do something about it, whether it means adding alternate ending DLC or not.

It's honestly not necessary for either side of the fence to sling mud at the other, and I'm once again reminded that the people on this forum who consider themselves to be more 'enlightened' are nothing more than the trolls they claim to hate, they're merely sitting on the opposite side of the fence.

Had a wierd one last night - once I landed on a planet during a Turian rescue mission, there where no enemies - anywhere. Had to restart the mission and all of a sudden all hell break loose.
Anyone else experienced this yet?

Nope nothing like that, sounds like a trigger glitch. I had the weapons wheel get suck on screen, while I moved and everything during one boss fight. But beyond that and the odd character model disappearing during conversation (only the model not the sound) and the iffy A button I didn't notice many bugs.

Yeah it was weird. At first I thought they were just building up to something epic :p
