Not sure about evil, I would say more like deluded, archaic and short sighted.
I doubt it, it's more of a case of 'cover thy arse' rather than 'we think this will really work'. The worst offenders are the companies who don't give a F* and aren't really that invested in selling on PC, the devs who do need their stuff to sell on PC are often are the ones who don't use DRM.I would say Desperate.
True! but there will always be Programs (such as photoshop, office, etc.)When will they learn that DRM doesn't benefit them. To this day has there ever been an unbeatable DRM? As far as I know Anno 2070 is one of the few still causing issues to be cracked...but that's only because of the online content&instances. most cracking groups take such pleasure in the challenge that taking away DRM would probably be like punishment to them!
