Until they change it so the red triangle doesn't show through smoke, its pointless, and if anything it draw more attention to an area. That said, I've managed to break through plenty times using smoke. So yeah, it's 50/50.

ya they need to fix that ... got nailed a few times cos some1 spotted me just before the smoke when up then some lmg fool spams the red triangle evens tho im at a totally different position

You can also spot thru smoke which makes it useless.....
 
Try this: smoke in front of you, run into it, smoke again in front of you, run into that, etc, etc, etc... I've found this helps a bit.

lol thats what i do when we getting spawn raped on Metro, especially A side, pop smoke, run to middle of smoke, pop another smoke in front, run to middle, repeat , it gets me to the stairs and i can try flank from there.

must be quite funny to look at lol

Tip though, using a laser sight while in the smoke renders it useless.
Also a lot of people seem to think they become invisible when in the smoke, they are sorely mistaken. If the player is spotted or if the server has Name tags on its renders smoke Useless.
 
I have never used smoke.
I stopped using the laser sight seems like I am getting load more kills and people don't notice me when I am shooting them with a silencer on.

Yup, seems like most people don't know that their tags flash on and off in the smoke.
 
Chopper .. Not more than 10m away ... I launch rocket directly at it (the largest part visible to me (SMAW) ... I watch as it travels right underneath the chopper ... TWICE!

Happened a while back,i was busy cam... sniping in a building and mister Rambo came in from the front.i jumped down from the 3rth floor and knifed him while he was running up the stairs.

This is when i just unlocked the SVD and was happily sniping away.

I have rambos as well :p also faffas,Archix2,da_metal and other ss members still need ogs :p
