My Helmet has bells on it
And c'mon, you guys can't deny that life is so much more fun if you have a console as well

You'll see someday T, it will all become clear

Nooit man. Listen, I've been a gamer for about....what..maybe 16 years + now and I've ever only had one console, which worked with those game cartridges (Nintendo?). After that, I had a PC and never again turned back. There is no way in hell you will ever catch me with a console. I will enjoy playing on them at friends' homes once in a while, but other than that, I have no desire whatsoever to own one. :D

Enjoying them at a friends house is a lot like kissing your sister when you think no one is watching :P
Consoles have a significant portion of the global gaming market for a reason, accessibility

And to liken it to something else, its like dating an anorexic
Not a lot of space for taking her out to dinner, but boy she picks up easily and all that sinew is surprisingly flexible under strain :)

Don't knock it 'till you try it

I have been gaming since 92 :p so thats 20 years shit :O

ok i must agree with Xero

I had a ps1, 2 and 3 and xbox360

Tooken thats abit extreme bru.....you hate consoles yet you never had one???

:wtf:

Xero, It's accessible, sure, but to me, a PC is also accessible. Buzz, you are not reading again. I did have a console. Just not a "next-gen" one. I have seen it, played on it and I can see the "advantages" of having one, but by no means does that make me prefer one or want one.

Not really a "console-hater" but being a native PC player, I just can't ever see myself owning one.

Tsar, that's why I said 16+ since I can't really remember much from when I was 5 years old :D. Come to think of it, I do recall playing Paratrooper and Arkanoid on a 286 before I was in school, and Arkanoid was developed in '86, the year I was born, so 16 years is the minimum.

That's also another reason I would never wamt a console. I've been exposed to PC's retty much since I can remember. I like my platform with a keyboard and a mouse.

I used to be all PC-pro, but since getting my ps3 I've spent way more time on that than the pc. Don't even have a desktop pc anymore, only a gaming laptop (which has like solitaire on it...). Don't know, it just doesn't appeal to me anymore. Probably with the kid as well, the console is just easier for me.

Anyways all jokes :)

Morning Chaps almost Friday!

Morning Guys
All jokes aside, I get that you guys are pro pc, really I do
I used to be the poster boy for all things PC related, so much so that some have argued that my PC's have become extensions of my personality, something I tend to agree with although they may be better than I am if judged on a purely functional role.
My point was that if you are really into gaming, you MUST acknowledge the fact that while consoles are like the younger retarded brothers of super computers, they do have their position firmly cemented in the gaming sector and for good reason, they might not be as good at counting stuff, but they sure are fun if given a ball and a piece of yarn and left for 20 minutes in the pool by themselves

I use my PC's for work and to get daily tasks done, I also game on them along with gaming on Tablets, Phones, Any console ever made and anything that is capable of running a game
I am even one step closer to finally owning that mythical Arcade Cabinet that I have always dreamt about, the one that doesn't take coins :)

That's why I was disappointed, I was under the impression that everyone here is also so heavily entrenched in gaming that no matter what the platform, the enjoyment remains the same, there is no need to slag off another platform, they are all unified in their usage when used for gaming
To comment on exposure to PC's, I've always been around them, for well over the past 20 years, I've been playing on them for as long as I can remember but to me they have become more than the tools used to play a game, perhaps they ARE extensions of myself, capable of thinking faster, doing more and assisting me in my daily life, if only they had legs so they could take walks with me without me having to support their weight :/

The consoles have taken up the spot as primary gaming devices in my life, purely because they are machines dedicated to doing this and as Nem mentioned, with a young child in the house who appreciates anything gaming related, there is nothing quite as easy to get into as a game on console

Tis very well said sir

my first online exp came in COD4 on pc, and many games before that was the good old PS1 and PS2, i remember my dad saying if you get 80% in your maths final i'll get you a PS2, i ended up getting 79% and he got it for me anyway :)

Xero you are right, consoles do have a place, like it or not PC needs them. Games like GT5 and MK are best on consoles too!

It was very painful for me to sell my PS3 but selling it to Race was great because i get to come say hi to it every now and then, plus it gets more attention now At Race than it did with me :)
