Web Africa - Terrible speeds and constant disconnects?

I have been having the worst performance on my WA the last week and a half.

Terrible speeds and sometimes disconnects and refuses to connect.

Anyone else having these issues?

I know some guys on MyBB having similar issues.
 
Mine hasn't been "too bad", not great though, speed comes and goes. And I get about a 76ms ping on WA, but if I switch to my freebie Afrihost account, it's 13-23ms.

EDIT: Oh ya, last week sometime they were having some issues with Telkom's IPC and speeds were unusable, the fault was on Telkom's side though

Grim get a hold of WAJeff on the WA forums. He is rather speedy with helping resolving issues. Well most issues. They helped me get a telkom techie to our house within 2 days. I know my brother has some issues with WA as well but so far I am rather happy with them.
 
havent had any issues on my account, every now and then my latency spikes although im not sure if this is my parents on youtube/facebook. It usually only lasts a few minutes and then is back to normal.. This account is also much better than my works Telkom capped account which gives me constantly 350ms +, im usually on around 200-220ms with the webafrica account.

Yeah I've had slow speeds and disconnects sometimes. The slow speed usually comes before a disconnect.

Also their DNS is acting up.

One of the reasons I switched to Mweb on Monday after having not a single issue in the five days I trialled an Mweb account.

MY line has been dropping every few minutes recently... :cry:

Ok so it ain't just me. I think if it was my line then it would either work or not work.

This just works when it feels like it. Disconnects when it feels like it. :(

Hey guys I have a 1mg line uncapped and I have not had many issues unless I have been throttled.. my local and International line speeds are bellow...

My WA account has been online since the 11th of March in a single session... (meaning no disconnects). If you are experiencing issues with disconnections it is most likely related to your Telkom line quality, or perhaps a local area problem.

That being said I sometimes notice sites not working for a short period, or unusually slow speeds. But nowhere near enough for me to consider moving away.
 
I think that my particular line might be the problem. There is a person downstairs who also has ADSL [her own line], and she says it works perfectly.

If Web Africa [they manage my line for me] and Telkom cannot get to the bottom of this recurring problem, I might try cancelling my ADSL line, then applying for a new one a month or so later.
 
Also been having massive problems with my redafrica and Titan accounts since Tuesday. Telkom says the line stats look perfect, but I haven't tried another ISP to compare. Webafrica also manages my telkom line.

Before Tuesday I would always get a constant 1mb/s download speed. Now, it's struggling to maintain 300kb/s.
 
My account was broken last night between 10 and 11PM. It could only send packets, but didn't receive anything in return. It was working this morning again.
