Got my copy of APB Reloaded from Top CD because I loooove the GTA games and can only imagine a MMO GTA to be awesome.

Does anyone know what the best and closest servers are? Is there a SA community or clan?
 
I played it for 5 minutes, then realised that all driving is handled server-side, then quit and uninstalled it.

Seriously, if you've got a ping of 200ms, it means that every time you want to turn your vehicle, it only turns 200ms after pressing the button. That's retarded.
 
Ok but what are the chances that a server could be hosted in RSA eventually?? I mean the game just got release at all Top CD's so I would assume the numbers will grow......
 
I highly doubt it. Even if it does get popular, I don't think we'll see enough users to warrant our own server.

Non there was a thread that got closed then deleted with about 10 RSA guys asking the same on the official forums a while back.
 
And what if my internet speed is 5 Mbps? Upload speed however is only 1Mbps (according to speedtest.net

I remember that I could play Crysis on a UK server without LAG

Seeing as its free try it and let us know if its improved now. Your latancy will still be high.

yeah i played it a while ago for a bit with some mates, the lag wasn't too bad, definitely playable on a 4 meg line so you should be fine
 
Its not free, I paid R250 for the game at Top CD!!!

I have a Cell C 4G card with one hell of an antenna on my roof pointing towards the Rosebank tower. I get those speeds often. Will try it over the weekend. Need to finsih off ME3. Busy with the last stage (Earth)

There are unlocks for certain stuf. It is a goty edition form the UK as the pound figures are on the box. Says UK30 wort of free stuff
