Diablo III beta goes public this weekend

Massive amount of people to get on and no visible cue system. Just keep trying. Sometimes I get "No diablo 3 licence", I assume traffic and othertimes "server not available" also traffic. Euro region is not available so its americas or nothing

Same thing here.

LOL. :(

Nooo, copied the folder from my cuz, ran the launcher and still starts downloading the full client. Sad panda. :(

Yeah how bout me downloading 2GB happy as hell then waiting for one more GB then the agent crashes, resume... the whole download restarts... get to 0.5GB crash again... ffffffuuuuuU!!!! This will be my last try then I'll give up on Beta. Hopefully full game will be sorted when it comes out.

Was able to play a few mins on Saturday and and about 3 hours on Sunday (afternoon and evening). Monk to level 10 :)

It was working via 3G, although "laggy" at times... Best news is only used about 15 MB during 3 hours (so those buying the DVD should be able to play via a GOOD 3G connection (cheap prepaid) once the EU servers are up (Beta was only for US servers).

You still have today to try it (seems more people are now able to get in) once you download the 3.5GB till 19h00 tonight I think.

Think many peole are NOT going to be very productive today... (if they can bypass their work firewalls)...

Played a few minutes on a colleagues work laptop this morning after my terrible experience the weekend just trying to download the Beta. Pretty awesome and played on 3G with no lag 300-400ms pretty decent.
Leveled my Wizard till lvl4/5 enjoyed it quite a bit, enough to sell the game for me :D roll on Wednesday so I can make my pre-order. Just too bad you can only go up till 4 players :/

So I have a beta key for this, and I must say, I am not 100% convinced that this game is purchase-worthy from the bit you can play. It had better get better in later stages (which it did in previous games as well)....

I found it to be representative of a game with a lot of potential. Starter areas are always slow.

I found it started off too slowly, too much hand holding and baby steps, but by the time you get towards the end (or are playing co-op) and are fighting more enemies with more abilities then it starts to get into stride.

It does but thats an unfortunate necessity of game design. You can't count on everyone having played D2, especially since it came out over 10 years ago. Still it can be a bit much at times. I think Once you beat the Skeleton King in the full game you are really going to see the world open up.

I thought they could have thrown in a few more mobs here and there at the start just so you are killing stuff more often, but it's not too big of an issue and is over soon enough.

Yeah, some areas feel a little sparsely populated, something that will hopefully become alot less apparent as you venture into the later levels/difficulties.
