Guild Wars 2

Sure, but what about tit for tat trading? You know, the usual person A offers X and person B offers Y, they both submit their offers then both click accept and deal done.

I just can't figure how this is a good idea?

I think it may be because they think that everyone will just use the commerce system... But wtf?

Someone would need to explain this to me.

Maybe they're still going to add it? I'm sure enough people will kick up a fuss about it.

Anyways ... I got in as well ... I was in for about 5 mins before I got booted. Long enough to see that I have a town outfit. How awesome is that? :D

I'm really surprised at how well it's running on my laptop :). Using medium settings it's very playable but the starting area's are loaded with people so the fps does take a hit there.

So far all the events are basically repetition, repetition and some more repetition. Nothing world-changing about them.

Perhaps later on. Unfortunately the connectivity issues interfere with actually being able to see or do much without frustration.

The connectivity is also pretty temperamental. Sometimes it's fine for an hour or two and then it buggers all to hell every. single. time.

I know beta is supposed to be... you know... beta but... ouch.

Will mess around some more tomorrow.

So far I like it. Not love it but keen to see more. Could see myself investing a lot of time in it depending on the content. For now it still feels very gimmicky, chaotic and senseless.

Well myself and 2 friends eventually all got in just after 10 and played till about 4am. We did tons of dynamic events, a jumping puzzle that we have yet to complete and tons more.

Negatives so far are is the performance which not too good, especially when there are tons of people. Some of the early dynamic events are unrewarding or just plain boring.

Postives, dynamic events! Most of them are reasonably fun to "woah shit!" fun. Everything is turned into a group effort which is great. The game looks fantastic, plays brilliantly and has the most fun MMORPG combat system I've ever played.

This is going to be THE MMORPG when it releases, without a doubt. Now enough talk I'm off to play! :D

It is a brilliant game indeed.
WRT performance issues, such as fps, my friend said in the first beta the fps was fine, but then they changed some settings (stress test) and now the cpu is taking the brunt of the action, which is why the fps is not that great.

I think they will fix the events and make it more fun for everyone soon enough :)

Had to give up yesterday.

Started experiencing major lag spikes and packet loss from 23:00 and onward making it pretty much unplayable.

Hope i'll get a chance today :p

I am getting abit annoyed with the Overflow servers.. me and my GF trying to play together and we just don't see eachother ingame, i have now tried all the tricks availeble.. by party up joining the mist and leave together, same being in Divinity's Reach, but no luck at all.

Yep. Currently the major frustration D and I are experiencing (and have been since beta started).

Parties no longer go through to the same shard/instance/server/district together. They get split up. And trying to get to each other becomes nigh on impossible.

And best part is that each time you go through that portal (to switch to different areas) you risk it crashing or bugging out (where it no longer triggers at all), so you get tossed back to the login screen and we all know what that's like.

Me too. Want to play with Lycan, but that's completely impossible because of the overflow. We meet up in Divinity's Reach, go through the portal together and accept going to the overflow world, and look at that, we're in two separate overflows even though we're in a party and went through at the same time.

Then the portal back to Divinity's Reach didn't work any more and now can't log in.

I know it's beta, but quite disappointing. Have had maybe an hour of gameplay so far.

This is going to sound weird and stupid but i was getting loads of error 42 and then i just spammed play button and it worked hahahaha
